Supporter Newsletter - June

Hello to all of our beautiful Supporters! What an absolutely exhausting month of May. SO much has happened over the last 30 days. From everything happening IRL good or bad, there's just been so much. That being said, I really hope everyone had an amazing month and is looking forward to June/July and a great summertime ahead of us. Let's jump right into things.

May was crazy and exhausting but filled with a lot of good things. Personally, I've started a new job which has stolen a lot of my time during the day but it helps to keep the lights on so that's always good. Within Requiem we have even had so many different changes this month that have really helped us as we're moving forward. Primarily the structural and project management changes have really helped us a lot. We've started to really get the ball rolling for some really cool things and it's been awesome to see.

Towards the end of May, I'm sure many of you have seen that we have officially taken a dive into a new game that released. V Rising! We have seen so many new people coming into our community since the launch of this game from the servers we've started hosting. It's been going really well to the point that we're looking at expanding it even further. We love seeing all of the new faces and being able to experience the growth from a new game. I really don't know what I'd do without our awesome gaming community in my life.

Okay, let's jump into our expenses. Please note that all of these expenses do not include any extra revenue Requiem did not spend. A majority of the money spent has gone towards Staff Benefits (%37) which includes staff payments, team giveaways, officer of the month, sot officer plunder passes, etc. Our monthly normal savings (%20) go towards our charity events and taxes at the end of the year. An additional expense that we always have is our Server Hosting/Design Work (%14) which goes towards our VPS, Dedicated Machine Hosting, Graphic Design, Video Editing, etc. Our last monthly expense is our Events/Giveaways (29%) which goes to exactly what you'd think.

We still are working on our upcoming Summer Bash and I couldn't be more excited. We're constantly going over our plans and making sure everything goes well across all of our games. We really think that everyone is going to have a lot of fun. Be on the lookout!

Moderator - Plucky

Hello there, Supporters, Plucky here! May has come and gone, and from and Event standpoint has been a rather relaxing month. I have been focused on working with our staff to plan for some large events coming up. We are full steam ahead and I'm here to inform you of all the exiting plans coming up!  

To start off, rumors and whispers are starting to make their rounds here at Requiem, talking of something big being just on the horizon... The sounds of bunderbuss' being loaded and swords being sharpened have been echoing in the distance. Our staff have been working on a top secret project behind the scenes and we can't wait to share all the details with you very soon!   

Additionally, we are getting ready for our June Charity Stream, which will take place on 25 June. As a community we are showing our support for Pride Month, and will be forwarding all donations made during the stream to The Trevor Project, who provide 24/7 crisis support services to LGBTQ young people via text, chat, or call with trained counselors. We are super exited to support this amazing organization, as well as embracing and empowering every LGBTQ+ member of our community!  

In more news, I'm honored to be able to help guide our community Recruitment as the newly-appointed Recruitment Lead. My staff journey here at Requiem started out with the Recruitment Team, so I feel very much at home returning back to this amazing team which I hold so dear to my heart. I will be taking on both the Event Coordinator and Recruitment Lead positions, and I am very exciting for what the future holds. The Recruitment team is hard at work at driving community recruitment to our next goal of reaching 40 thousand members. 40K sounds almost insane to imagine, however we are not far off!  

Requiem recently expanded into a brand new V Rising server. V Rising is booming at the moment and we are all hands on deck to bring as many people as possible into our V rising community. We recently launched 6 new game servers in addition to the server we originally launched. We currently host PvP Solos, PvP Duos, PvP Trio, PvP Quads, Casual PvP Quads, PvE Quads, as well as our original PvP 5-Man server, ensuring that each member has a server that suits their unique playstyle. These are exciting times and I cant wat to see you all in one of our V Rising servers!

Howdy Requiem Supporters!
May has been a month of infrastructure and operational process improvement here at Requiem, and I am excited to tell y'all all about it!  

Starting with Requiem Operations, we are focused on defining and refining the methods we use to meet our value propositions and ensure that every ounce of work all of our volunteer staff do is able to directly add value for each and every one of our members. With this, our task management infrastructure has neared completion throughout a month and a half of development; we have already seen an exponential increase in the number of individual tasks seen through to completion. Creating this granular view and pushing towards a Scrum workflow has allowed our staff to efficiently meet our internal goals and be the best community that our members want us to be. Expect more updates on milestones, KPIs, and how Requiem Operations will continue to streamline value-adding processes to make every day great at Requiem!  

Next up comes our new IT infrastructure migration. After working with our upper staff to identify our future areas of growth (cough V Rising), it was clear that our goals have necessitated a further accommodating and resilient IT infrastructure to ensure that we continue providing the best quality of services for our community. Expect some new experiences throughout our different game offerings as we finish laying a foundation for paralleled growth throughout all areas of Requiem.

Hello there supporters, happy June! I am requiem's newest Moderator and cannot wait to help grow this community! I am very excited to be a part of and join the Requiem upper staff team.   

To start am excited to announce Requiem recently launched a brand new V Rising server. V Rising is taking off, it is looking like it will become one of the the new popular survival game to be a part of, this is a very exciting time and I cannot wait to see you guys on our servers!

Additionally, I have continued my duties as a general moderator helping different teams complete exciting projects to bring to the community as well as working alongside DirtyJ to streamline our backend infrastructure so we can bring more games and ensure that we continue providing the best quality of services for our community.
