Supporter Newsletter - October

Hello to all of our beautiful Supporters! Happy October to all of you! I hope you all had an amazing September and enjoyed your summer up till the end. Now it's time to enter the fall season and honestly, it's probably more of my favorite than summer. (Don't hit me) We get to enjoy all of the autumn colors, smells, and especially the food. I have a great feeling about this month!

September was a lot of fun and marked the release of our FiveM Server! It was truly a lot of work from our development team working on it and we have come so far. Currently there is a lot of work going into bugfixes and plenty of new content right around the corner. These things aren't done over night though, (at least not always) and will take a bit of time to get into a good groove. Our goal is to have a nice content update for you all on a weekly basis which will start here soon.

We also hosted another awesome Charity Event which means anyone that donated for the month of September can gain the Charity Supporter role. Just talk to Penny about getting that role. We managed to raise $1,900 together as a community to go to World Wildlife Fund. With that donation, Requiem has become Partners in Conservation and adopted a large handful of animals as our own. I will be posting photos of the animals soon enough right here to our Patreon.

Okay, let's jump into our expenses for the month of September. Please note that all of these expenses do not include any extra revenue Requiem did not spend. A majority of the money spent for September has gone towards Staff Benefits (%48) which includes staff payments, team giveaways, officer of the month, sot officer plunder passes, etc. Our monthly normal savings (%20) go towards our charity events and taxes at the end of the year. An additional expense that we always have is our Server Hosting/Design Work (%8) which goes towards our VPS, Dedicated Machine Hosting, Graphic Design, Video Editing, etc. Our last monthly expense is our Giveaways (24%) which goes to exactly what you'd think.

I am still in the process of possibly changing how we show you all of our expenses. I know many people get confused by the percentages but they change so easily because it's only based off of the money we spent and not any of the money we've saved each month.

Is it spooky season already? How great! I'm Penny and I'm the Community Lead for Requiem. Over the past month I've had lots of exciting things to do and expect October to be full of more exciting things. I had the chance to be a part of our Charity Stream where we raised money for the World Wildlife Fund. I also spent lots of my time working on our merch shop, running giveaways and getting to connect with a lot of our awesome community.   

Each month I have a huge goal of connecting with our staff as well as our members and it's my favorite part of being in my position. If you're ever looking for someone to talk, complain or ask questions to please reach out as I'd love to hear from you. Also, do me a favor and send me a message about what Halloween costume you're most proud of so I can be proud with you. Have an amazing month and we'll talk soon!

Hello there! Spylon here.   

For those that don't know me, I'm the Creative Director of Requiem. You might be wondering what that means for my day-to-day activities and responsibilities here in Requiem. The easiest way to explain that would probably be to give you a brief summary of how I spent my past month.   

To start of I started on our new design system in Figma. We recently made the transition to a professional plan, and will continue to use Figma for things such as UX/UI design, graphic design, print, and much more. With this comes the full conversion of all our current templates for static marketing material.  
However, that's not the only marketing material I've been working with the last month. I also worked on various other creative projects, such as infographics and merchandise renders. These merchandise renders will soon be used to promote our upcoming merchandise launch, and will be applied in scenarios such as advertisements and pre-order previews.   

All of that sounds like a lot of hands-on work, but as the Creative Director I obviously also carry the responsibility of giving creative direction for all our ongoing projects. Our animated stream package is a good example of such a project. Make sure you tune in our upcoming streams to see this package slowly start to take shape!  In addition to giving direction there's also all the administrative stuff that needs to be taken care of. If you've kept an eye on our recent announcements you would have noticed that applications for the new creative team are now open!   

Finally I also still play an active role in some development team projects. The past month you may have noticed a couple of small updates to the Requiem Discord bot. These changes have mostly been improvements to increase the quality of life for our officers.   

That should summarize most of my recent projects quite well. Interested in the work we do for Requiem? I'm looking forward to your creative team application.

Salutations everyone!  PJ here with news from dev team. It is a new month and development continues.  Continual improvements to our bots are happening.  Yall are still more than welcome to come to the dev team with your bot ideas.  Between now and the end of year we expect a few quality-of-life bots to roll out.  One last not for the Sea of Thieves players, expect a golden hour bot to be rolling out soon!  Yours truly, PJ

Hi there, Yassinator is back again with my general mod update!  

Things are going smoothly as usual and recently I've had the honor of working on a few projects here and there like pushing out some LFG Posts, setting up tools for the Creative Team, Setting up a few channels and managing permissions.  

With all this work being done I still have a lot of open room for you guys should you ever have any questions or concerns. Feel free to shoot me a Dm should you ever need anything, I appreciate your support. Stay safe out there.

Hey there, it's me Jeefer with some news about Sea of Thieves.  

September has been a big month for SoT with season 4 and gold and glory happening this month, Gold and Glory was absolutely amazing with packed queues and plenty of servers to go around. The new changes to Season 4 had us come up with some new ship types for all of the amazing new content such as our Shrine and Treasury ships. We also expanded on other aspects of the game such as a Vaults Galleon along with many more to help clarify what each ship is doing. As we go through the season we will constantly be looking at ways to make all of Season 4 accessible and fun for everyone so you all have a smooth experience.  

We have also brought on some new officers to SoT to provide you guys with assistance around the clock, that being said we are still looking to expand the team and if you are interested in helping out feel free to submit an application and we would be happy to have you on the team.

Howdy again everyone!  

I’m Roesch21 the Recruitment Lead for Requiem. It’s been a busy month for me and the team with the launch of Requiem’s FiveM server. Since FiveM is fairly new to myself and the team it’s been a bit of a struggle trying to find all the places to promote our server and bring in more and more players to the city. We’re currently doing what we can but if you have any ideas you want to toss our direction we’ll gladly take them.  

As far as Sea of Thieves is concerned it’s the same ole same ole for the team. We post LFG’s multiple times daily, we post events out to different forums, we chat on social media etc.

We’re not slowing down anytime soon and we’ll have new and exciting Minecraft servers to recruit for in the near future too.

Hello all!  

I’m Dash, yet again in another position, the SecOps lead for Requiem. No, this is not Secret Operations but Security and Operations, encompassing cybersecurity and IT ops!  

Things have been relatively quiet for me but for those technically inclined out there, I’ve moved us to a better logging aggregation and correlation suite, allowing better visibility into everything happening.   

Additionally, we’re moving in the direction of containerizing a lot of our bot infrastructure, allowing for a more highly available, fault tolerant architecture. This means less impact to you guys if something breaks.   

Lastly, keep up the great work with reporting scams. You guys are spotting them and not clicking links, which is huge. If you ever have questions or want to get my opinion on whether something is safe or not, my DMs are always open.

Hey there, It's Plucky! I have very exciting news - Drumroll please... I am now officially the Event Lead! [pats self on the back]  

During September, Requiem launched it's FiveM RP server, and our caffeine-fuelled Event Team has been hard at work trying to come up with some fun activities to bring into Los Santos! If anyone has any ideas for events you would like to see, be sure to reach out to any of our Event Team staff or submit your idea through the Event Info channel on Discord.  

We also recently had our fourth quarter Charity Stream, and it was packed full of fun stuff. We were able to raise just over $1900 to support a global conservation organization. We witnessed the tragic shaving of Creed Bratton's beard, and I am also happy to confirm that Super Serious PJ, Wagon, Judgementreeper, pt dora and I have recovered and returned victorious from our spicy endeavours. I would like to express my appreciation to all of our viewers, and everyone who made the stream possible!  

Ghostly wails can sometimes be heard echoing through the Discord channels this time of year... Always sleep with one eye open so you don’t miss any upcoming events!

Howdy guys! I am your brand new Minecraft Lead, DirtyJ!  

Requiem Minecraft has been awaiting some new direction and guidance; I am here to bring it on!  

Minecraft is a game capable of bringing together amazing communities through its unique experiences and replayability. I look forward to redesigning and collaborating with not only our Requiem staff but our wonderful members and supporters as well.  

Requiem has always been relentless in our pursuit to provide our members with exciting experiences that provide a positive impact on their lives. With this upcoming Requiem Minecraft Rework, I am focused on upholding our value propositions and pushing hard to create new community-driven experiences. From a new server structure to seasonal events and game modes (did someone say mods?), there are a ton of new experiences on our roadmap ready for some action starting mid Q4.  

I cannot thank our supporters enough for standing with our community and empowering our innovative spirit and dedication to Requiem. Be on the lookout for more supporter involvement in Requiem Minecraft that will directly impact where we head next!

Hello everybody, it's me again Dri-Dri-Drizzy.  

This month has been steady but lots has happened! First of all, I have been in collaboration with Trip, our Social Media Manager. We have been in works to try and keep the Requiem YouTube full of content for you guys! We are going to continue to work with some of our promising content creators to keep pumping that stuff out for you guys. If we have any aspiring content creators in our discord that would like to help us out, feel free to privately message either me or Trip!  

On the other hand, we had our charity stream which was a great success! We Raised 1900 Dollars for the WWF, and had some great content along the way including a DJ and our very own "One Chip Challenge". It was a blast, and I'm happy you guys were able to support us along the way, so thank you guys so much for that!
