Supporter Newsletter - August

Hello to all of our beautiful Supporters! Settle in for our August Supporter Newsletter this month. I really hope these posts help us to be a lot more transparent with all of you on what we're doing in the community and gives you a bit of insight into our processes behind the scenes. In this Newsletter, I'll be going in depth on what kind of changes we're bringing to both GTA and Minecraft in hopes that we can increase the population surrounding them. Our staff have been very focused on both of those games as we push into the future for our community and we've got some pretty cool implementations coming that I think you'll all love! We've got a lot of information to cover so let's get right to it.

First, I would like to start with our expenses of the month so that you know where your money is going. We have the usual things that we pay for every month like our Minecraft Server, Giveaways, VPS(Virtual Private Server), Premium Bot Management, and Discord Nitro(As Needed). We're also now paying for our server management for our GTA Online Session which I'll get into in a moment. With the previous newsletter stating how we found a temporary video editor, well, we now have to find a new video editor again so if anyone knows someone that could be helpful, please let us know! We will also be doing some big giveaways throughout August as well as purchasing a FiveM Server which I will get into in a moment as well.

Grand Theft Auto V is now one of the games in our community and has been for a little bit of time now. We haven't had a ton of activity there but we're hoping with the changes that are coming, we can bring in some more people for GTA. To start off, we'll be having a GTA Online session which will work a bit like our Alliance Servers for Sea of Thieves. You can hop in GTA Online and play in that session without any worry of people killing you or hackers coming in. This type of server will essentially be a PvE Server for GTA Online. We are also going to be creating a FiveM RP Server for GTA which, for anyone that doesn't know, is a server hosted outside of GTA where you won't gain money or progress in GTA Online but instead everything is stored to that server. This server will be a roleplaying server but it's still pretty early in the works so we'll be working on it over this month. I hope you all take the time to check these new sections of our community out, it's gonna be awesome fun.

For the month of July, we managed to hit 8,000 members in our community. I know 8,000 may not be a significant number to some but for me, it really hit me how far this community has come. I can't even begin to tell you all how thankful I am for the support you give us here. Without any of you, the things we do would not be possible. For those of you that don't know, I work a job as a cleaner aka janitor and it sucks. I don't pocket any of the money from our community so that it can all go back into making bigger and better things. This community is my dream coming true and has been a wild ride up to this point. We have new people coming in everyday and being able to meet these new faces really means a lot to me. I hope you all can really feel how much this means to me and how much all of you mean to me. This community isn't something I take lightly in my everyday life. I try my best with every step I take and every move I make, to make sure that it's the best thing to do for Requiem. I really can't wait to see what the future holds for all of us!

Lastly, I want to touch on some of the new events that we're trying out and have already tried out so far. Recently, we did our first ever community Movie Night where anyone was welcome to join us while we watched "Impractical Jokers: The Movie" and it was a lot of fun. We're going to do our Movie Night every 2 weeks now and our supporters will be choosing the movies. We are also going to do an Arena Event this month which will be our first ever Arena specific event so we'll be doing our best to make sure it runs smoothly. I know I talked about a PvP based tournament event but that won't come around until we can have custom servers since so much setup would have to go into it otherwise. Depending on the turnout for the Arena Event and how smooth things do go, we'll probably make this one of our more frequent events alongside the Meg Hunts.

Now that we're at the end of this newsletter, I really want to say again how much all of you mean to not only me, but our community. None of this could happen without you. Our giveaways, servers and other fun things we do would never be a reality without the support you all give us here. Requiem is going to continue to grow and I want to stay true to myself as well as all of you. I just wanted to make it known how much I truly care about this community and all of the members in it.
