Sorry for the ominous title but here's this month's news update! Recently we made some pretty major steps in the build and went over some feedback given from patrons, testers, and our own artist. We wanted retool the current version due to some issues with pacing, where currently you go from event to event immediately. It's not like the build itself is bad, but we think we could make it feel a lot more smooth and also enjoyable for players. What this means is we're going to be changing the game's events into days and also changing the sequence of events a little bit to feel better. We've also been working on a whole new live menu and a brand new intro to make the game feel a bit more grand. You can see the writing for the intro right here:

We've currently rewritten pretty much the whole first part, but also kept the dialogues and events that worked well. Things like the spaceship crash scene make a bit more sense, more natural inclusion of Jukarya and research planet into the plot, and the intro will help get people into the game a bit more fluidly then just being thrown immediately into the thick of it. We feel like these changes are gonna be a bit dramatic but think they'll definitely be for the best as we move forward game wise. And now for the unfortunate events: our artist managed to break his arm! Extremely unfortunate news but life likes to come out of nowhere with stuff like this. He had already finished most of the art for the first part so luckily it shouldn't affect development horribly, but it does mean we won't be getting any new pinups for some time. It is definitely unfortunate but it's just reality of the situation, but we wanted to keep you guys informed and not just getting words from us every now and then. You can see the break right here:

Obviously this situation isn't the best, but he is definitely healing and taking it easy. We're hoping he'll be able to do art soon but also want him to take the time to heal properly, so we're gonna do our best to use our existing assets to improve the current build. On another note I am currently in the process of moving. Odds are this won't really cause any problems, but it might cause some hiccups build wise so would rather keep you guys in the know.
