I forgot what day it was.

My sakura trees are about to bloom! They always come in a little later than the others in the neighborhood. I don't know if it's the type (Kwanzan) or if it's the microclimate. I love them and am always happy I had them planted.

We always have a major convention over Easter weekend, but I always try to do something for my Mom because she loves holiday dinners. So we're going to have Easter dinner tomorrow. Since we've been talking about Swedish meatballs, we're going to do those. It's a bit weird because we usually have those for Christmas Eve, but there's no reason not to have them now as well, and everyone likes them. The family is actually more Norwegian than Swedish, so I don't know when the meatball thing started, but we've been having them for special dinners all my life, along with lefse and yes, lutefisk. Now that Grandpa's dead we skip the lutefisk, actually. One thing we never had with the meatballs when I was growing up was lingonberry preserve, but I've remedied that because it's amazing.

I think I must be hungry since I'm sitting here talking about food.
