Harvesting The Witch Queen - Chapter 291: Frozen Shell

Chapter 291: Frozen Shell

Lord Monsoon coming back from the dead and confronting the witch coven again was surprisingly not the strangest thing that happened on this day.

Monsoon’s dead body suddenly began freezing. It withered away, but instead of rotting, his body turned into a snowy corpse. At first, it was only snow covering the body of the pigman, but then all of him turned into pure ice.

“What the fuck is happening to his body?” April shouted as she was the second one to realize what happened to his body right after Junk did.

“He’s turning into… Ice…?” The demonic knight commented, unsure what it was all about.

“I have to admit—I have never seen anything like that before,” even September admitted that this was nothing that she had experienced before.

“We must kill it!” June took a step forward and insisted on destroying the frozen corpse, even though it was… Already dead, of course… June did not only take a step forward, but she raised her heavy blade up high in the air and visibly meant to attack any moment now…

“He’s already dead. We killed him, remember?” Junk pointed out to the barbarian woman.

“Oh, right…” June said, probably witnessing by herself, that it was not moving, at all, other than the ice cracking a bit after it covered all the body.

It took a witch such as September to come closer and to examine the frozen shell a bit closer. Junk determined by himself that there was something wrong about all of this, but he didn’t know anywhere near enough about magic and witchcraft to investigate this phenomenon. September squatted and leaned forward, getting a closer look at the ice. She even went as far as touching it with her fingers…

“What is it?” The Minotaur knight asked the Autumn witch.

“This is not any normal ice.”

“What is that supposed to mean?”

“It was conjured. Another witch did this.”

“Who?” Junk was never satisfied with the number of answers he had. He always needed more and more…

“I don’t know yet, but we’re dealing with a Winter Witch here based on this ice.”

“A Winter Witch?”

“Winter…” April whispered.

Then, all of a sudden, the frozen shell on the ground began moving! The first time it did since the pig stopped moving.

It kept cracking, as well.

This was only the beginning and then when the icy carapace opened up, four humanoid arms made of ice sprung out of the interior of the shell and reached for the four adventurers. One arm for each of them.

“Damn it, what is this?” Junk wondered.

“No!” September was caught off-guard, just like everybody else.

“It's got me! “April shouted.

“It has me, too!” which was surprising for someone such as June since that frozen arm was more than strong enough to be able to hold on one of her legs and to yank on her. The four arms yanked on all of them and pulled them inside the icy shell.

The last thing Junk vividly remembered was realizing that the frozen shell was not a dead body, at all, it was a portal.

When the Minotaur woke, he and the rest of the coven were in a snowy tundra.

It was colder than any other place he had visited before. That he knew for sure.

They were transported in the middle of a blizzard. Here, all Junk and the others could see was a snowy purgatory.

“Where are we?” the Minotaur wondered.

“We are no longer in the Autumn season, and this surely is not the Spring or Summer provinces either!” April pointed out.

“This is not the Summer province, I agree!” June shouted.

Well, if this was not the Autumn, Spring, or Summer provinces, this only left one option…

“This is Winter,” September announced the most obvious thing in the world, yet it still sounded impossible.

In the far distance, they could barely see what was ahead of them, but they were ultimately able to make out something… There was a vague shape in the distance and it was the shape of a castle in the middle of his Winter blizzard.

The castle in question was snowy and had remparts made of ice.

“Whose castle is this?” Junk turned to September and asked this question because she looked like she knew a lot more than she was letting on to believe.

“How should I know?” the witch seemed like she was lying to him.

“You know, don’t you?” He challenged her.

All of a sudden, the blizzard died down, revealing to Junk and the rest of the group that they were, indeed, much, much closer to the wintery castle than they originally believed they were. In fact, they were right up at the gates of it…

“We are so close…” April admitted.

“Yes, we are,” June agreed with her.

There was then an eerie silence in the air until…

“The winds of the ice age are not for the weaklings, so you might wonder what all of you are doing here?” Junk heard that icy cold and sexy voice for the first time of his entire life. That serious voice was vastly different from September’s… Vastly different from April’s…. And also vastly different from June’s as well…

The Minotaur knight looked up, so the rest of the coven did too.

A cold and blizzard’s wind was heard…

Standing atop of the ramparts of the wintery castle, a beautiful femme fatale could be seen up there.

The woman in question had glacial snow-white skin.

Her piercing and menacing eyes were winter-blue.

Her hair was incredibly long—down to her hips and it seemed to be pretty dark.

Even though it was freezing outside, that woman atop the rampart wasn’t wearing much, at all.

Only half of her body was covered.

However, the little bit of clothing she wore did have a bit of fur on it, so she was, indeed, well-prepared for the Winter weather.

“December…” September was the one who uttered her name…

December…
