Chapter 13: Guts Feeling
“We can’t trust him, it’s as simple as that,” Trix stood a like tall iron wall before her with her arms folded together. She obviously didn’t think that what Cynthia told her about Richard possibly being able to help their case was a good idea. She was making a fair point that she agreed with, though. It was true that Richard could hardly be trusted. He was a criminal, after all. A gangster who had never been caught for anything up to this point, but one who everyone knew in this city knew was bad. The truth was that Cynthia didn’t personally believe he was all that bad, but she still agreed, his word didn’t mean much, especially now since he was desperate and afraid that he was going to lose his business.
“Why am I not surprised by your reaction?”
“You were truly willing to trust him?” Trix questioned her, giving her the benefit of the doubt as she sat her ass on the side of her wooded desk, still with her arms folded.
“This might be our only lead, Trix.”
“The case only begun, there’s no reason to go all desperate now. I have to admit, I am a little disappoint in you, Cynthia,” Trix voiced her disappointment for her and for what she did.
“Why do I always feel like I am never surprised with everything you’re telling me?” Cynthia wondered. Her shoulders dropping because her proposition was declined so drastically.
“I wish I could tell you something else.”
“Ma’am, I deeply disagree with you. This is better than nothing.”
“The answer is still no,” Trix, the director of this organization, made this even clearer to her.
I don’t give a shit, Cynthia thought to herself as she turned around, since she desperately needed to get some fresh air.
“Hey, where are you going?” She called out to her.
“I’m going to work, that’s all.”
“Widdowfield…”
But she was already out of her office.

“So, what’s your answer going to be then?” Richard was obviously pleased to see Cynthia Widdowfield come back to his establishment. The last time they spoke, he made his special offer to her, which left her completely and utterly shocked.
“You promise me you’ll tell me everything you know about that amber murderer?” She wanted to make sure he would keep his end of the bargain first before agreeing to anything.
“I promise you,” he grinned to her.
“Then… I accept your conditions.”
“You do?”
Well, don’t tell me it shocks him now? Cynthia wondered how it was possible that Richard was surprised that she said “yes”, after all, she came back all this way.
“Is that you trying to make me tell you multiple times that I am going to do it?” She seriously suspected that this was what he was attempting to do for his own personal enjoyment.
“No, no, no, I just want to make sure it’s real,” he stood up and extended his arm to her.
“Um,” she paused and did not accept to shake his hand just yet.
“Welcome back,” he warmly welcomed her back, still hoping for him to accept this handshake, and she then finally did. They shook hands, but she still did not say a word.

The Blue Heart had, indeed, returned.
She took the mantle of her old stripper’s persona back and became The Blue Heart once more. It didn’t take much preparation to slip back into her old role. To her, it was like riding a bike, it wasn’t something that needed to be relearned, far from it. Richard had kept her stripper’s uniform and when she slipped into it, it still fit her like a glove. She was already expected to go on stage and that was exactly what she did.
Step! Step! Step!
The lights were dimmed at first, but it was only to create this dark and mysterious ambience in the club. Only a few people knew about her returning to the club tonight, and they were only people that Richard trusted. Those trusted people did not intend to spoil the surprise, however, what they did was to tell everyone that someone very special would be featured at Richard’s place tonight without revealing her name or anything like that. It worked. The place was packed, which was incredibly surprising considering the lack of success that this establishment has had.
The lights finally came on, and the cat was out of the bag.
Cynthia as The Blue Heart was live on stage, and she was here to perform.
She raised her head up and everyone could see her charming and slutty smile.
Everyone began applauding her as soon as she made eye contact with the crowd before her. This was when she knew for a fact that she was back to her older-self, a lot more than she ever thought was ever going to be possible when she first entertained this idea of doing this. Right off the bat, Cynthia sensed this arousing feeling of empowerment took over her. She was back, and it was not only her that felt it, but also everyone else in the strip-club with her. She knew that everyone was on the same level.
It was a lot of work to be a stripper, but someone had to do it. Cynthia was no rookie at that. That meant that she was no young and fresh meat, either. Typically, the strippers who got the most attention and attraction were the younger ones who were still in college and trying to get through college by working a lot as whorish strippers, (the kind who had all abandoned Richard’s club to go work for rival establishments as it turned out), but this was not the case for Widdowfield. Cynthia was into her twenties and she had quite a bit of experience under her belt. Because of her age, she wasn’t supposed to succeed as a stripper as much as younger performers, but she did.
Cynthia intentional swayed her big breasts from left to right.
She grinned as she stepped toward the dancing-pole before her.
It was time to rock this place.
“Miss me?”
