Let's Talk About One Nation

[Patreon Exclusive]

Hello Patrons,

We've seen a lot of discussion surrounding One Nation's surge in popularity and thought it would be a good idea to share Jordan's views on this. Let us know if you think we need to make videos like this when we're back posting publicly soon. Or we could just make fun of Facebook posts from One Nation supporters (or both).

We're hoping to have some updates for you soon about when we can come back to posting more often. But you know the drill when we're in times like these, we're still hard at work on some bigger projects behind-the-scenes. Hopefully we can share those with you early as well, some of them are unlike anything we've worked on before.

Thank you for the support,
The FJ Crew

Let's Talk About One Nation

Comments

I left a comment on “news.com.au” Facebook post a few weeks ago in relation to “Hanson being the right fit to lead Australians in the right direction”. I commented “she can barely string two sentences together without tripping over herself.” Immediately attacked as a woke lefty, a labourrrrrrr stooge and told not to trip over my petty coat. 😂😂😂

Pups torn hammy in noosa

That'd be good.. on a second note what do you think of the H Speech laws passed??

John Delaney

Urgh. Yes, we need some public videos on one nation. Doctor of philosophy Joanna Howe just did an 'exclusive' interview with Pauline and o couldn't even finish it. Was good to see them getting pilloried on X, but the comments on YouTube make them sound like front line Heroes taking on the axis of evil single handedly.

As I understand it, they had a fairly big skill set in writing/improving legislation? I voted for them. They really did keep the bastards honest - but I'd love FJ to weigh in on this. Am I looking at the past with rose-coloured glasses?

I am a member of the Australian Democrats as I am a believer in consensus government that makes decisions that benefit all Australians, not just the wealthy. I am 59 and I think that Australian governments more fairly distributed the nation's wealth and were less corrupt when there was a strong Australian Democrat presence in parliament. I don't believe having a strong presence like AD was the only thing that get politicians more honest, but I do think the AD shone a light on bad behaviour in politics; and resulted in more open and transparent governance.

I went to a One Nation meeting for a new branch in a blue ribbon seat. I went to support a friend who wanted to become more politically active. No really. The ON originals were there, but happily welcoming more of the same, plus a relatively large number of Liberal defectors who are seeing ON as a place to be effective. Being a follower of Susssssan Ley must feel like being a follower of a wet sock. I can definitely see ON getting senators in the next election because of this, and the Reinhart money. They've found at least a couple of people who are being strict on process and infrastructure. Yes, they're already running into big tent problems of trying to accommodate facebook anti-vaxxers, libertarians angry at dark woke for ruining Star Trek, immigrants against further immigration, and people who 'find being welcomed to their own country offensive', but it's an alliance of sorts. Gina won't vote for them, but she'll bankroll them because she's into convincing turkeys to vote for christmas. If there are a few of them in the upper or lower house, they can be pushed around by Liberal operators and loyalty network folk who know what they're doing.

Can you do a deep dive into palantir and their involvement with the Aus Gov.

I really enjoy these videos Jordan, logical thinking about the logistics of the political engine rather than sensationalist emotional click bait articles that you see on media websites.

The right side of politics has become to unhinged and divorced from reality, probably a large part fuelled by the SkyNews echo chamber. They have lost the comprehension that in democracy you need compromise, and also the vast majority of the electorate will never accept their unadulterated demands. They prefer the grandstanding on principles/values over practical outcomes, or are so deluded to think that they have the numbers or can persuade people to build the numbers to support their cause. Because of this ideological purism, they will make the Coalition an ungovernable force until their ideology is defeated or becomes obsolete i.e. until the renewables transition is complete. Honestly the best thing for the ALP would be to moderately drag out the climate transition because it would just keep the right infighting longer and longer 🤣

I tend to agree, One Nation doesn't have the brains or a broad enough potential base to build a governing coalition from. It's not to say you can't get people like Steve Bannon (or Farage) who have the brains to make a MAGA type movement become more organised and gain more traction. But the problem is in Aus there is a ceiling to it. Rural capital interests are not enough, especially if they are in conflict urban capital interests. For now these interests seem irreconcilable for purely ideological almost religious like beliefs about climate (in)action. The other issue is even with the migrant stuff, the Libs struggle with the same issue. In theory, a lot of migrants could support more restrictive or lower immigration. In practice, articulating a nuanced narrative that appeals to them becomes too difficult when you are also trying to appeal to ON type voters. The Libs can't even get the Indian vote and they're the most culturally aligned demographic! They can't seem to win over the ON voters who want less migrants and more values based migration, or the migrants themselves who might be okay with a technocratic focus on numbers (mind you lower immigration in either case pisses off business but they might tolerate it).

Let the enemy fight themselves, why not?

Dominated by Murdoch media since 1960s, the politicians of the right have treated all their constituents as idiots. As Murdoch media treats all its audience as idiots. Pauline Hanson is a clown, it would be nice if someone could point out what one nation has done for its constituents? Or for Australia? One nation is a side-show of ridiculous ness that the taxpayers are funding. Integrity is lost on the right. We don’t want the circus . We want good govenors that’s all . It’s not a beauty contest, it’s our lives and families that matter. The more these fascists spew out their diatribe, dumbing down the really important issues while scamming taxpayers, the less people are engaged with what really matters to them.

“Let’s talk about one nation” Spends the opening ragging on the Greens (they deserve it) 😂
