Keep in mind that with the very little bit we know about her, we do know that she had a very different upbringing compared to sasuke and naruto. So her journey is going to be paced a bit differently. She’s not my favorite of the trio by far but all hope isn’t lost yet

They do pad the runtime a ton and a lot of the recap is extraneous, however this show was featured on Toonami for Cartoon Network as a weekly series in the early 2000’s. Running alongside the manga which was a monthly release. So oftentimes the anime would actually either catch up to the manga or get pretty close. The show would need to take breaks or release filler episodes to allow the manga to progress. So they often recapped at the beginning of each episode because viewers would likely forget what happened in the previous episode and sometimes they would do entire recap episodes after a longer break. It’s a nuisance but the alternative is a Game of Thrones situation where the network decides to go ahead of the source material and write their own story and then the whole show becomes a shitshow lol
