What's really interesting to me about this episode, as I'm rewatching the series, is the emphasis on the butterfly effect. Had Sasha not hesitated two episodes ago, Gabi would be dead and she would still be alive. Had that recruit not hesitated earlier, Gabi wouldn't have been able to get onto the airship. Had Falco not gone with her, he wouldn't have been able to push Gabi out of the way, seconds before she shoots Jean and kills him. I didn't notice this the first time I watched the show, mostly because I was still in shock from the death of Sasha, but that bullet was literally INCHES away from Jean's head. Falco really saved his life there. It reminds me of the time in the beginning of Season 3 when Armin was dealing with guilt because he killed one of Kenny's comrades to save Jean, and Levi makes the point that you can't hesitate in a situation like that. He reminds Armin that had he not killed that woman, Jean wouldn't be alive and because he did kill her, none of HIS comrades died that day.

Jean actually didn't ignore Sasha, that was Floch and the others. Jean was trying to get them to shut up BECAUSE Sasha heard something.

I've always wondered why the writers made like a big impression of Sasha in episode 3 and 4 during the military training, since that point I thought that she was gonna be like a very major character, but turned out she wasn't, don't know why. Great reaction…so many powerful scenes. Two things we have in common, first is I’d also give best moment to that Gabi/Falco conversation and second is I also turned 30 this year….welcome to the club old man. Hahaha

Whenever Jean gets anxious/sad, he always puts his hands over his ears. RIP Sasha :(

In episode 4 you see Eren with a baseball and a glove hinting that he had met fluffy. And episode 6 mikasa saying “Eren please come home” also hints that he went rogue with that plan and hadn’t seen the crew for a while now. Also why he communicated with letters to them. It also appears they didn’t send letters back, it was all eren making this plan. And the scouts had no choice but to follow it otherwise Eren would lose the assault without help. That’s what hange means with “you made yourself a hostage and we had no choice but to come rescue you”. So yeah they are all mad at him

I like how you and I interpreted Jean's line so differently. When he said "Hey! Quiet down" you took it as he was saying it to Sasha, but I got the impression he was talking to the others to which he gets the response from them "Make some noise! Victory!". I felt like Jean was indeed trying to listen when Sasha was concerned, but it was the others who didn't give a crap.
