What really caused the Great Depression?

Enjoyed this video a lot! As bad as everything is now with the economy, I don’t think it is as bad as it was in the depression.

2021-01-09 02:32:18 +0000 UTCI do think that if another Great Depression-type event does occur, it will be due to asset bubbles, so we must do whatever we can as a country to prevent them from happening. There is not the same type of housing bubble we saw with houses back in 2007, but it is getting worse.

When I wanted to get internet I had to have proof of credit. essentially I had to be in debt at some point and paid it off with evidence. I had no credit so i couldnt do that because i was raised by grandparents who didnt belive you should borrow money. As a adult world was quite a shock, i have to have credit for a house, car, internet, some cell phone plans, and some tv providers. then with housing i noticed that a lot of homes are being sold at 3x the value of the home. which to me is greatly inflated. when I'm only making $12 an hour. meaning to get a home i would have to become in debt or by a old run down shack and hope it dont fall in on me. Would us being a debters socity lead us into another great depression?
