May Fan Favorites NOW OPEN for submissions

Hi y’all! The Fan Favorites channel over on our Discord is live and ready for your submissions for the May 2024 episode of Fan Favorites! REMEMBER: Fan Favorites submissions are ONLY accepted via our Fan Favorites channel on The Daily Doug Discord. Any recommendations made in comments here will not be considered.

🚨This Month’s Theme: Metal May🚨

Metal fans, this is your month! I am looking for your favorite metal songs that I have not yet featured on any of my YouTube or Patreon videos. I know that there are worthy metal bands and songs that I’ve overlooked, and I need your help to expand my metal horizons.  I fully realize that there are a myriad of subgenres of metal, leading to a huge variety of metal bands and metal sounds. Thus, we’re likely to have a wide palette of submissions. And, I’m hoping to avoid “that’s not metal enough” conversations. I’m not really interested in that. Plus, our two rounds of voting tends to reveal the cream of the crop of submissions. Let’s have some fun y’all! 

🚨RULES/INFO:

• Add your submissions directly in the ⁠fan-favorites channel on Discord

• Read and follow all instructions and info in the StickyDoug post pinned to the bottom of the fan-favorites channel on Discord

• The submission needs to be a publicly available YouTube video **OR** Spotify audio track

• No songs previously covered on the channel or Patreon

• The song or piece should be less than 10 minutes in length 

• Only one submission allowed per person per month

• We are limiting bands/acts to a single entry as we go to round two. (For example, if there are 3 Black Sabbath songs submitted, I'll only take the one with the highest number of upvotes...assuming it has enough to get to the Patreon round.)

• Discord Submissions Start: Saturday, May 11

• Discord Submissions End: Wednesday, May 22

• Patreon Poll Starts: Thursday, May 23

• Patreon Poll Ends: Sunday, May 26

• Fan Favorites Video Release: Tuesday, May 28
