POLL: Pick the next Extended Play Lounge Album

Hi KruzaCZ, I totaly agree with you. The Astonishing is very different from the other albums - maybe nothing for the headbangers - but it tells a nice story and the different voices LaBrie has to do is very impressive. Too bad, that they didn't release a concert video about this, like for Metropolis Pt.2. It would be the first item on my whish-list. PS: your English writing is very good. We are here because of music and not perfekt grammar. I'm from Germany and hope you can read my writing as well. Kind regards. Andreas

So I'm both curious and wondering if you'd like to try listening to Dream Theater's The Astonishing album. Generally in the wider fan base it hasn't been fully embraced, mainly because of how out of touch it is with what Dream Theater have released, but as a long time and die-hard Dream Theater fan I'd be happy to recommend it and would love to know, hear your opinion on it. This is a conceptual album that tells a story from a near dystopian future. LaBrie alternates up to eight different voices for all the characters here. And for me, it's a very high quality story with very high quality music. The album is divided into 2 acts, the first and second CDs and yes, the total length of the album is slightly over 2 hours. But it's really worth it. PS: If my neglish is a little shaky or somehing else, I am sorry. I am from Czech republic and I am not used to talk or write in english but I uderstand almost everything. Thanks for your time.
