In that video, you mentioned the ultimate Chad Innings eater (Bobo Newsom) before transitioning to the main subject of the video, Jordan Lyles. You made that transition noting that they are the only two players in MLB history who went to their high school. That was a pretty mind-blowing coincidence — I’m curious as to how you even discovered it, if you were planning the video already before you stumbled on it, and if you’ve ever noticed some other wacky coincidences when writing Baseball Bits.

First, I want to give you kudos on that video at the beginning of the year where you predicted a breakout Corey Seagar year. Second, I want to ask about Corey Seagar's HOF trajectory. Considering he's been limited by numerous injuries in his career, and he's not even 30 yet, how much lower can his average career WAR, and 7-year peak WAR be from the average HOF Shortstop to make Cooperstown now that he can fall back on the accolade of winning 2 World Series MVPs with 2 different teams?

2023-11-03 01:16:08 +0000 UTCOne of the things that stood out to me during this postseason is just how much vitriol there was from former players and old-school fans over every little detail of how these games were played and how little credit they were willing to give to any of these amazing players. I know every sport is prone to “things were better in my day” -ism but the anger you see around baseball seems to be a lot more intense. I mean I’ve seen things as crazy as people saying that Trout is not a good player (not that he’s injured too often now, but that he has never been that good and that WAR/stats have made him overrated his whole career). Why do you think this might be? Is this even a real thing or is it just that the people I follow on Twitter like picking arguments with Jeff Frye?

If you forget about 2020 (which we should all do), your team has won their division all but one year, with over 90 wins every time and 100+ wins on 4 occasions. Heck, in 2021 when they came second, they still won 106 games. But come the playoffs, something always seems to go wrong, and sometimes they don't even reach the NLCS. How do you fix this team?

The ALDS and NLDS then start the Thursday/Friday after the regular season, except instead of 5 game series, they're 7 game series. I feel like after this postseason it's pretty clear the Wild Card series is too long and the DS is too short
