Shinae was probably the first and ONLY real friend she had, an on top of that she had a crush on her. She must be HAUNTED. What was it like, to show up at a formal invited by a woman you know now was NOT the fairy godmother you thought and find your first friend/crush with your boyfriend, to find out Yui has sunk her claws into her, too. GOD ;A; I need more of them lol

2023-09-23 05:21:34 +0000 UTCI can’t help but feel like, even if Alyssa does explain her background and why she acts and reacts the way she does, it won’t do much to make Nol accept how she’s been treating their relationship now, especially when, as far as we can see from this sneak peek, she isn’t being fully transparent and is still wearing a mask, physically and maybe even metaphorically. Kousuke in 212, being vulnerable and open about his insecurities, his fears, and how completely and utterly broken he truly is, didn’t do a lot to quell Nol’s (justified) anger and frustration with how Kousuke has been treating him for basically his whole life. All the downplaying, the hostility, and the affliction Kousuke has done to Nol has made Nol be less empathetic and more selective on who he lets into his life. It’s a shame since Kousuke is also a victim, but unfortunately, the actions he’s done has left far too much damage to be forgiven at this point in the story. Now, that isn’t to say Nol’s relationship with Alyssa is as bad or could be compared to Nol and Kousuke’s, but my point is, at this moment in time, I think Nol is past the point of giving people second chances or letting issues off the hook. Just the way he looked in the final panel (before it was cut off because spoilers lol), made it seem like he was considering what she was saying, but that it won’t matter more than what she decides to do now. I don’t know if I’m making sense, but basically, if Alyssa truly wants to remain in a relationship with Nol, then she has to be honest about how she’s been acting and why, which, I don’t see happening given she seems to fear confrontation about who she really is and would rather keep up her facade than face reality (Kousuke parallels). Sorry for this overly long response, but there’s just so much to discuss from this sneak peek and we don’t even have the full context yet!

2023-09-23 04:02:09 +0000 UTCI was right that it was someone getting smacked but not a great thing to be right about 😭 I wonder to the extent she opened up to Nol...I understand he is in pain, and this angst with her is valid. I just hope that if she did open up for the very first time to him, that it wasnt a complete callous shut down. I don't think thats like him at all but hes gone through so much in a small span of time I could see him regretabbly going too far and tearing into her by mistake. That or maybe she does need it...but idk I think more than anything she needs loving guidance. She is all alone. Part of that is on her but the chances of her or any teen with such trauma making the correct and healthy decisions -- its clearly improbable and here we are.... Hurt people hurt people, and this story really cuts into the raw with it. Idk how she can survive the current path if she doesnt have a single person to just be Her *true* self around, unfiltered and unmasked. Nol and Shin Ae don't owe her, nor Kouske -- but they both are characters of warmth who I believe will wanna be allied with these two when Kou and Alyssa fully wake up to the game those with more power are using to keep them down and divided. 😭 I believe in their possible bittersweet union 💖
