Curse of the Vampire Coast Update Progress Info!

Good day Everyone! New massive DLC and update is on the way and we already have our hands full with it to ensure you get fully updated mods in top quality when DLC will go live!

This once again requires weeks of complete mod reworking and fixing + adapting and including all new content and changes! Work for hundreds of hours!

This post will be regularly updated with all info and progress we are making so you can keep track on the things.

We have released mods for multiple TW games (Shogun 2, Rome 2, Attila, Warhammer 1, Warhammer 2 and Thrones of Britannia) and this requires us to sacrifice even more time and resources to make sure that we maintain our quality.  


Update Info 1  - 04.10.2018: Getting familiar with all new content and stuff requries few days, new content must be tested so we know how exactly we will work on it and what we will do, find the right aproach to it. Also preparing massive list of changes which will require to be updated - DB tables, scripts, UI, textures and much more!

Update Info 2 - 06.10.2018: Many more tests with the new content done, various balance test battles, tons of new scripts investigated to see how new mechanics and units behave. Massive list of required changes almost complete and hard work will begin shortly.

Update info 3 - 09.10.2018: Massive work started! At first i jumped on various campaign scripts which received various changes so i have to rewrite every single one of them with new content and our own changes into them all over again. Once this will be done i will focus on adding all new files from db tables, which will take around 1-2 weeks cause its something around 10 000 lines of new entries and i must make sure all are well placed, nothing is missed, and also all already included need to be checked if they were removed/changed by CA.

Update Info 4 - 14.10.2018: Big progress finaly! After 5 days of additional hard work i can say now that around 10-15% of the mod is fully updated for upcoming update and dlc! Several basic db tables are fully reworked and contain all new changes and content. Around 4 scripts were completely reworked to include all new content. Several big db tables are now under full reconstruction, same as some fine additons and changes!

Update Info 5 - 17.10.2018: Another 3 days passed and i have been working during late nights on updating all mods to make them again closer to operational status. I can say that 20% of all things should be now fully updated and fixed. Progress goes very slow since i have to double check every new thing, there are thousands of changes and many are very well hidden. Plus i need to spend extra time at my work last few days so i am getting home really tired and cant work on it whole nights. Need to get some sleep and do family things aswell. But i am moving forward and that is what matters! :-)

Update Info 6 - 20.10.2018: Another short update blog for you today! I have managed to push forward and do another big progress, several long nights passed i am now at 25-30% done of all. All AI related tables and files have been updated, all new entries included and properly rebalanced. Same goes for all new buildings, these are all included and their costs, build times and many more is fully rebalanced. Building effects will come next! Created entirely own system for Vampire Coast garrisons (same as for all other factions), currently filled with vanilla units (but already prepared for easy replacements with custom units once they are created after dlc/update release). Pirates are getting closer and closer!

Update Info 7 - 23.10.2018: More news today everyone! In past few days i managed to do big progress in updating our mods towards new DLC. Around 40% should be now completed! Last few days i focus primary on adding all new units, lords and heroes, balancing them in terms of stats, AI recruitment, requirements, abilities etc. RoR units received many new unique weapons and traits to be far more interesting and different then their vanilla counterparts. All new weapons are now included and rebalanced aswell, same for all new spells and abilities. Big changes in this, many had been entirely reworked to make more sence or be simply usefull to use and not ignore them cause they do pretty much nothing. If all will go well maybe next week i get this into playable state to start some heavy testing!

Update Info 8 - 27.10.2018: After 4 weeks of hard work big part was reached today! Around 55% of all is now fully updated and completed to make our overhaul work again with latest update and upcoming dlc. And i finaly managed to make mod operational again! What this means? Well it means that game finaly starts with our content activated on latest build and dlc! Yes Yes! Work is far from over, this many scripts need to be entirely reworked and properly updated and after that focus will be on balancing all new content + updating our submods for you and then preparing something new for all of you! Still a huge amount of work ahead, but when you see that game finaly loads with mod active, its a good sign! :-)

Update Info 9 - 29.10.2018: Time for more news! As promised last week i will release a small preview of additional upcoming content today, its just a small showcase of some additional content coming to Vampire Coast, much more of it will come after DLC release and mod update! Overall progress is now around 65%! Many additional things had been done, all new units received first proper balancing touch, many were reworked a lot, got new traits, different requirements and much more. Pirate offices had been entirely reworked to offer much greater variety and options how to develope each of your captains and much more. As every day, more an dmore bug fixes and improvements across the whole mod are being applied to make sure you will have perfectly stable release!

Update Info 10 - 01.11.2018: Big progress! Its now 1 week till official DLC release and 75% of all is now finished! Mod runs, every day more and more things are improved, rebalanced and tweaked. Each day i find more smaller or larger bugs and fix them. First few Vampire Coast custom units shaping very well (preview for Patrons is up on our discord). Its already 4 weeks of crazy daily work on updating all this and making it operational again. We are almos there, but mod should be ready for you next week! Also started working on updating your favourite submods which you can expect to be updated next week aswell + something new on the way!

Update Info 11 - 04.11.2018: We are almost there! 5 days and DLC is here and with it should be our massive update aswell! 90% of all things are now finished, ready and super polished. Final bug hunting is now being done, testing if all scripts working as intented, additional fine tuning and balancing to new units, some old ones, building effects and economy changes and several other mostly balance related things. We will also present you at release day 5 brand new custom units for Vampire Coast so their roster will be bit more interesting right from start! Release is very close now, much to look forward!

Update Info 12 - 07.11.2018: This is our last blog about updating! Finaly after 5 weeks of hard work its done! Mod should be ready for tomorrows DLC release and will be updated in the evening. Together with it will come updates for our submods and much more! Work is far from finished, in upcoming weeks Vampire Coast will receive additional custom units to their roster and whole faction will be further balanced, improved and with some additions and new features. Many of that will be based on your feedback aswell once you get your hands on it - tomorrow! Pirates, we set sail in few hours, time to plunder and get some infamy!
