Vids?
Added 2017-02-01 10:14:43 +0000 UTCMy little patreon experiment has been an amazing success, thanks to all you nice folk for encouraging me to keep posting silly things.
It's got me thinking about what to do for this year. I could keep doing the same thing and post gifs and hips, or judging from how popular the sidefx webinar was, maybe I should post more videos alongside the hips and gifs.
I don't have the time to do beautifully presented and thought out work like the Entagma folk, but I reckon I could do little 1min->5min things. I still believe written stuff beats videos, but looking at the popularity of video tutorials, I'm clearly in the minority.
What do you think? Would you be interested in that sort of thing? My initial thinking would be to maybe take some of the examples I created for the gridmarkets article ( http://www.gridmarkets.com/matt-estela ) and screencap me either talking through the setup, or creating it from scratch.
Survey below. If you have feedback beyond yes/no, please let me know.

2017-06-28 21:25:24 +0000 UTCThanks Chris! I haven't checked the votes in a while, its now 21 in favour of videos, 15 against. That said, the reality is that I wrote this post in Feb, and had planned to do at least one video as a test. Well its now June, and I haven't made a video, which is a sign of how much free time I have. I still think it might be interesting to do little 3 minute snippets (think like the short to-the-point videos done by sidefx), but right now, it seems making animated gifs and a few paragraphs of text is the limit of my abilities...
