Checkbots – Gargantuan swarm of Tiny constructs, lawful neutral
Added 2025-05-20 16:00:15 +0000 UTCOne more collaboration! I had the honor to work with Ori the Cartographer and Rudok's Tavern. Together we made a coherent bundle including creatures, items and a gorgeous map – a giant chessboard! I hope you enjoy the contents as much as we enjoyed creating them!
The checkbots rank among the most remarkable models of the ancient automata. Like most protobots, they are considered to be exceptionally rare. Due to their downright ridiculously small size, however, no one knows for sure. Easily able to hide in plain sight, the checkbots are magically drawn to chessboards of any kind – the bigger, the better. The peculiar constructs have a penchant for rule-based systems, are coordinated and highly intelligent – as long as they are many. Lone and lost, a checkbot is nothing more than a dull metallic hull…
