2015-10-02: Buffet Boys in Santa Cruz

Pouya and Fat Nick were opening for The Underachievers on their tour. This is a clip from the 2nd show where they're performing the song "Fat Camp" at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz, Ca. I wasn't on the tour, but I was living in the Bay at the time and seeing as the the first show was in SF, and the second in Santa Cruz - I pulled up. The Catalyst is a club with a capacity of around 800 I'd say, but it's an amazing room. I've shot and attended many shows there and it's impressive how the energy reverberates through those Catalyst crowds.

extra:

The dude pointing at the camera towards the end of the clip is the homie who showed me Fat Nick's music to begin with. So once I linked up with the buffet boys, I'd always make sure he was good to pull up with whoever. Deep lore, but his name is Jerm Jilla and he pioneered something at the time he called "Clay Candy" which was those big sparkly chains that Mac Miller, Wiz, Riff Riff, Soulja Boy, and many others were rocking back in 2010-2013. The only one I can think of from the top of my head is Wiz's Bombay Sapphire chain, but just a lil history lesson.
