What do you want to see from Patreon?

Firstly can I just say a massive thanks to the 7 of you currently supporting me with nothing more than a warm fuzzy feeling on offer. For the price of a cup of coffee you guys are paying about 50% of my monthly costs during the off season and it is hugely appreciated.

I wanted to take some time to talk about some plans I had for this Patreon page and things I can start to offer you besides the warm fuzzy feelings and to get your feedback on what I have in mind and any ideas you might have. 2021 I really want to focus on growing this page and maybe even reach the point where I not only cover my costs but also receive an income in the off season as well as when Strictly is on

Exit Poll

My first idea concerns the exit poll which I used as a back up during lockdown 2.0 whilst I waited for a confirmed result to come in from my sources. This had mixed success in predicting a bottom two but was excellent at predicting who was in danger. And one of my plans for 2021 is to make it a Patreon exclusive and release the results shortly after the BBC vote closes giving you guys access to an indication as to how things have gone up to 3 hours earlier than the spoiler would be posted and far earlier than any other spoiler source

This will be subject to similar provisos that it was in 2020 that it may not be accurate, is a guide and as a Patreon exclusive should not be shared outside of this page including on my other social networking profiles.

Provisionally I’d expect to provide this to all Patreon subscribers at all tiers

Ad Free Spoiler

As I’m sure you guys are aware the website contains a lot of ads and other forms of monetisation. These are a necessary evil as not only are my costs in providing the website huge but I also have to take an income from this

The contributions you make through the Patreon page are far in excess of what I would earn from you visiting the website and as such I’d be perfectly happy to share the spoiler here at pretty much the same time as it is posted to the website but without any form of monetisation beyond the subscription you pay through patreon

Again this would be offered on all tiers

Merchandise

This is something I’m unsure about pursuing but is an option and is something Patreon can handle themselves. I have a couple of reservations about going down this route though.

Firstly I’m not sure how many of you would want a Strictly Spoiler T Shirt, keyring, fridge magnet or one of the many other staples of merchandising we have.

Secondly due to the costs involved these would be attached to higher level tiers of support in order to be worth my while
