Content Poll

With the long road ahead, v0.36 will be released sometime during the first week of September. It's a jarringly long time, and I myself am still not sure how to feel about such a big period of development. I will still be committed to pushing out weekly posts and teasers alongside polls and such to keep you guys engaged and active in the process.

Alongside the Goblin variant of the new Village scene, I've been thinking about other content to add in this update. I've had a few ideas, but I want to run them by the community first and foremost.

New Companion - As of current only one companion is available in Act 3: Alex. They're interesting and add a much needed depth when wandering aimlessly around the city, but they are also locked behind a specific Species. I want to add a generalist companion that can be obtained from (practically) any species or route and who directly add engaging story elements with their presence.

Monstrous Revamp - The way Monstrous species (Goblins and Werewolves) are treated in the Village and City currently is abysmal from a gameplay perspective. I know they desperately need a revamp, adding actual stakes and chances of being outed and thrown in jail/mobbed to death. This will likely also coincide with a new addition specifically for Succubi, requiring them to feed to sate their hunger or else they'll become more and more easy to identify.

Player Backgrounds - A minor addition that's sat in the back of my mind for a while that I feel would really add some much needed flavor. This would include an intro revamp, with a few pages dedicated to describing your life and who you were before you mysteriously found yourself in this new world. Making players pick a background would also allow me to further emphasize player agency by making background-specific flavor text or rare choices, making each playthrough feel even more unique.

Cottontail Casino - An addition I've been meaning to work on since I added the Sinful Corral, the casino would function in a similar way. Instead of being an outright brothel, Cottontail would be a functional casino, with ways to gamble your gold and (sometimes) win big. However if you win too much the owner will become very interested in you, much to your detriment. Items and companions will allow you ways to cheat the system, but will bring much more attention to your party. And, of course, the whole thing will be themed around Bunnies!

The Castle - A prestigious monument to Alivir's history and a testament to its renown, Castle Alpsburg is a place only very few can go. It will be the final location and your key to getting home, if that's even what you wish to do when all's said and done. A lot of the castle's challenges will come in the form of various puzzles and RNG related events that you can mitigate with the right items or companions. Some puzzles will be a simple math problem or a riddle, while others will be timed tests of memory or reflex. You will not find many saucy endings here, with most of them being True Death or worse.
