The first picture is the first thumbnail. I had written Min using her explosive to blow up the skeletons. I changed this pretty early on. It felt more sensible to show off a hint of the nature of the sword Alexander discovered, so...
The second picture is the thumbnail that I went with. The only change I made was to the last panel. It felt kinda detached from the important action, I'd rather show the explosion in terms of how it affected Min and Alexander. We can probably guess the skeletons got messed up here!
The last change I made was to the sound effect. I went with that cool impact frame effect I used several pages ago, but this time I added a bit of color to it, and as you can see in the sketch, I still had a THOOM going. Upon reflection, I realized I already did the THOOM back in that other page! I can't do two THOOMs in a row over the same effect! I can't abide the double THOOM! I had to go with a Kra-KOOM instead, and I think it was the right choice.
