Management engines are made of a thin fluid-- slightly slick, but not greasy.
The "head" of the ME has like, exaggerated surface tension. It can push against things, but press too hard and you'll break through into the liquidly inside. If it smacks something hard it'll just shatter into beads of liquid.
MEs are full of the sound of running water, the neural fluid is constantly being cycled and flitered.
