A throwback to first episode of the season. Maveth is a Hebrew word for "death". The ancient scroll was technically correct, but Fitz didn't have all the clues to figure out the context quite yet.

RIGHT!!? I loved the "Ladies & Gentlemen... We got 'em" meme of it. It was sooo perfect. I'm just happy they are invested into the characters. From the slow start, until now, its SO different! I cant wait to see their reactions for seasons 4&5, and also 6 when it returns!!

Yeah thats probably the most succinct way to word it. It takes a LOT of prerequisite info to show how the Celestials managed to do it much more effectively than the Kree Hybrid process. I find the word Terragenesis a misnomer though, its Latin for Earth-Made/created, I'm not sure what the Kree call the crystals actually, as far as I know, they have always called them Terragen, regardless of the world they use to experiment on. Thanos is a Celestial, but a Celestial-deviant. Celestials-Inhumans-Deviant were the three offshoots of the Celestial creation projects.

I feel you Nahid I also didn't believe ward was dead but you know he did get his ribs crushed, the route they take with ward after this episode is one of the best things of season 3 can't wait for your reactions.

hey guys i know at the beggining you founded the series hard to watch, because maybe it felt silly or slow in season 1, but what do you think at this point? was it worth it to watch all the way until this point? do you agree with everybody that says that this series keeps getting better and better with every season that passes by? and what to you think about the evolution of out main cast? Daisy isn't Skye anymore, now she has superpowers and it not just a hacker, Fitz and Simmons are defenitly not the same geeky innocent guys they where in season 1, you discovered May back story in Bahrain, Ward is now a bigger evil that he ever was XD even when he's dead he will keep trying to screw with the team. Sorry for the long post, but you are somewhere in the middle of the 5 seasons that has been aired, and i would love if you could make a litte review until this point with all your thought about this :D And thank you so much for your reactions we all enjoy watching you

Mutants are born mutants with an x-gene because humans were manipulated with by Celestials millions of years ago. Mutant powers generally manifest themselves during puberty/ Inhumans are also born inhumans but they need to be activated by terrigen crystals. Inhumans are also distinct in the comics because they are the result of genetic experimentation by the Kree. They are distinct in comics, and even had a little war because someone released a terrigen bomb that was lethal to mutants and killed them.

Chris' reaction to ward dieing is such a huge mood my reaction was the same lmao. I'm pretty sure I've said it before but it rly is so refreshing to see a reaction to this show that has ppl who rly dislike ward in it bc i never liked him myself. AoS has easily become one of my favourite reaction series of yours and there's still so much to go yet!! cant wait to see ur reactions to everything else

Guys, I love your theories on the Thing's origin, but remember what Malik said to Ward in 3x8 'Many Heads, One Tale'? "Thousands of years ago, an Inhuman was born on this planet that was destined to rule it, so powerful, so fearsome that others were consumed with dread, and so they banished it from the Earth, sent it through the portal to a distant planet.Hydra was founded with the sole purpose of engineering its return." So we know it's a powerful Inhuman, born thousands of years ago, that was banished to Maveth and....you'll have to see about the rest.

I loved this reaction. Ward's death was cathartic, but you guys, the Ward lovers(Rana, Nahid, Suraj, Pat) and Ward haters(Chris, Marketa) arguing about Ward throughout the time you've been watching the show made for some great reactions and discussions! I think you guys said in last month's Q/A that Pat, the biggest Ward lover, is still watching AOS, if so, I need to know his feelings on the death of his boy.

Inhumans and mutants are both born that way as they are basically members of different subspecies of humanity. The main difference is that a mutant's powers will naturally manifest, usually around adolescence, whereas Inhumans will never develop powers until they're exposed to terrigen mist. Characters like Spider-Man and Hulk are "mutates"... they never would have had powers except for some fluke occurrence. Not everyone has the genetic potential to be a mutate, that's why Bruce Banner turned into the Hulk when some other poor jerk would die of radiation poisoning. (All this has to do with Celestial experimentation on humans eons ago and later Kree experimentation millennia ago but that's probably more than anyone cares to hear.)
