2019-01-24 05:38:34 +0000 UTCRegarding the point of the American War of Independence, the citizens of the colonies who remained loyal to the British Crown (The Loyalists, coincidentally enough) were exiled from the US, and they were forced to go to England or Canada. My father's hometown of Saint John, New Brunswick was more or less built by Loyalists, and they have festivals celebrating them. I wonder how many of them were like Kori. They had be born in America, and yet were forced to "go back where they came from".
