Ron Swanson was hilarious to watch festering at the table hearing for Leslie before he finally blows up and defends her. I gotta say I love how everyone on the show admire Leslie's determination and tenacity even though she has a tendency to mess things up a lot with her awkwardness!

2019-01-10 22:19:22 +0000 UTCi feel like parks and rec is when schur figured out how to do heartwarming. the office had it's moments, definitely, but parks and rec (and the good place and b99) are full of them from the beginning. you get more dimensions to their characters sooner than you did with the office too but i think that's just bc they had learned from the office to not drag their feet with it.

Both use the format of sort of a documentary (talk to the camera style) tho parks never says it is, but otherwise I think Parks is better, mainly as someone said, it evolved from the Office. And I like the characters and their dynamics more here. The office seemed to be 95% focused on 4 people. And it probably went on about 2 seasons too long.

2019-01-10 18:13:32 +0000 UTCTotally agree. Well I'm not sure which I like more actually, but I don't compare them either. In a lot of ways, I feel like Parks kind of evolved the formula that The Office used, and I did see Parks first. But certain parts of The Office are also just unparalleled.

I just feel the characters in Parks are so much fun and their relationships with each other are more genuine than in The Office. You can watch both shows and appreciate them both for what they are (great shows in their own rights)
