Without a doubt he killed the dog. Ward. Not whats-his-name

Guys, seriously, even if you're not intending to, do not spoil things. Plot hints that might seem obvious to you now are not obvious to first-time viewers, so please allow them to miss them and pick up on it later. Ward's character is meant to be ambiguous at this point. Let the show explain it rather than doing it yourself. Don't get me wrong, I get it, I think I may have done it myself once or twice...but please be patient. Not that i think they read these comments anymore.

Are you guys ever going to do double drops cuz if not it will take you 2 years to watch this show.

Macy

Yeah, Normies stay tuned for some of the questions y'all have. AoS writers are great with call backs and playing the long game with some of their plotlines. I remember questioning a lot of things to the point of being frustrated, only to be quite entertained by how it all plays out. Hopefully you guys stick with the show through the later seasons, it gets extremely good!!

Um no Ward is not saving Fitz and Simmons. UGH. He wanted to murder them. Ward is not about saving anyone. Except himself.

Wow. Excusing Garrett cause he got injured and Shield couldn't get to him right away. That's what being an Agent is. It's about the mission. Does not excuse him becoming a psychopath. As for Ward, He lies all the time. You cannot believe everything he says about his family. You don't turn bad. You choose to be bad. AOS shows this over and over.

i always liked this episode, even though its somewhat slower. i think its very believable that a person who grew up feeling weak and angry and trapped would deeply respect a person who (from their perspective) came in and showed them how to take care of themselves and gave their life direction. its kinda similar to fitz, because when they took the lie detector test fitz says his only immediate family is his mother, and in the shield academy episode, he talks about how lonely he was at school before he met simmons. both characters seem extremely loyal to what they probably consider their first true family/friends

Several things. Earlier in the episode Ward, when taking the shot at the deer, says something to the effect of, "That dog takes off running whenever it hears a shot". So, as soon has the handgun goes off, the dog takes off running. While it is not explicitly shown in this episode whether or not Ward took the long range shot, that question is eventually addressed and a definitive answer is given within the show. In addition, the show runners also addressed it at one con or another.

I was always under the impression that Ward killed the dog... His so-called "weakness" couldn't bare him to kill the dog at point blank range in its face, which ran parallel to him turning his back on Fitz & Simmons, unable to look at them as he intended to send them to their demise (i.e. Fitz continually asking for Ward to look at him)... As a result, Ward killed the dog from a distance with a scope, allowing it to believe that its life was spared... In correlation, doing the same to Fitz & Simmons as his back was turned, while likely justifying in his mind that his way of disposing of them was far better than what Garrett would've preferred...

I think the best part of this episode is it sort of shows the roots as to how Garrett and Ward became who they were. Garrett was a shield agent who was left to die in the middle of no where and felt betrayed by Shield. Ward was abused by his older brother who was always protected by their father, so doubly abused, and Garrett took advantage of that to take on the father figure to develop Ward, something his own father ignored while only developing his oldest abusive son. So it wasn't "here are 2 bad guys" , it is "here is what turned these people bad."

You just said exactly what I was thinking man! Garrett did probably do the same thing with other people, what he did with Ward. However, I think Ward must've been the most successful one.

Maithri

Pleaseeeee drop the finale today!

Jasmine Jackson

He dropped them in a box in the middle of the ocean, that's as good as killing them. If they hadn't run into it he would have shot them. He's a very interesting character, but still a murderer.

Gaëlle

You sure about Ward killing the dog? Cause I always thought Garett executed the dog after he saw Ward couldn’t do it, as a lesson to him about “the job being hard”

BlackHeart279

Cool reaction, but I must admit, I never understood why people kept looking for excuses to explain Ward’s actions, the character is an integral part of the show and he works great withing the confine of it but for real he is still a murderer and a piece of shit. The “test” Garett made Ward pass was cause he was recruiting Ward into HYDRA, Garrett didn’t even recruit Trip into SHIELD, he is a legacy, his grandfather became one of the original Howling Commandoes after Steve Rodger freed him from that prison in the first Captain America movie. Also Chris, they never said that the blue alien the GH325 came from was a frost giant

BlackHeart279

Im glad you guys are enjoying the show! From here on out its non stop and I think you will love it! Cant wait for the finale and looking forward to season 2!

Macy

Man I wish you guys would double drop.

Christopher simeon

That's not happening lol. especially since they watched 20 and 21 b2b. 22 they waited (or are waiting) for the full squad. We can always dream though.

Heru Muharrar

raina planting those s2 seeds!! also i'll always die over them comparing fitzsimmons to a puppy. very accurate. my take on ward/fitzsimmons is that he dropped them knowing they could potentially die bc it was easier than just executing them. if they lived he could say it was his plan, if they died he could take credit for it. also i thought it was pretty clear that he went back to kill the dog because they matched it up with him pulling the lever to drop fitzsimmons.

Linsey Morris

How does Chris STILL think Ward is a double double agent? CmonBruh lol.

Heru Muharrar

I thought this episode showed who killed the dog.

Gezno

Crap I forgot and thought this was the finale for a minute xDD

Justin Neason

Please please double drop with the finale tonight 😭😭😭
