[Premium Access] BoJack Horseman - 2x11 Escape from LA - Group Reaction

Perhaps the drinking impaired their recollection of the past few episodes, because it was made abundantly clear that BoJack was trapped in a sham of a studio production that essentially butchered the Secretariat film, and not, as you said repeatedly, the movie he's wanted to make all his life. He clearly has nothing sustaining him in LA; he's not close to Todd anymore, Diane has her own shit going on, Princess Carolyn never sustained him despite her being the MVP of this show. His career is hollow, his refound fame annoying. He left LA for legitamite reasons and doesn't care about getting sued. So yeah, I don't understand the frustration with him for leaving, even if it gets infintiely worse for him in New Mexico. If anything, I feel bad it went the way it did and wish he'd have run away somewhere else. Like you guys acknowledged in the discussion, Diane did seem to domino effect the recent issues in BoJack's life, but more improtantly, it all comes back to him. He's broken, just like his horrible mother said. He wasn't bound to be happy long either way.. Terrific and yet gut-wrenching episode. Like his idol said - you run, and you don't look back. BoJack looked back.

I love Nahid's "Daaaaaaaamn!" every time something dark happens in this show

This may be the hardest episode for me to watch. Even watching you guys watch it I had to stop several times. This is proof of why all the weird, wacky concepts and animal stuff is necessary. This show goes so dark and deep and real sometimes, you need the princess caroline drinking all the milk to give you enough distance to enjoy it.
