She saw the purple glow around the Roci in her sensors and tried accelerating her tiny tug to reach them which caused a fire in her command console. Here is a real world example, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gecui7ygtjY" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gecui7ygtjY</a> . Those are sparks flying off before the whole console started to melt so she performed an emergency airlock release to purge it. Second almost all ships had there drives facing perpendicular to the station providing thrust gravity inwards at the moment of decel so the casualties came from everyone crashing into the ceilings of all there ships. The brown nose'er as you call him is just as Gung-Ho, looking for an enemy to kill for his LT's death as bobby was last season. Bobby's just got the advantage of seeing the bigger picture and knowing that shes got to look past her Martian Marine instincts.
