W0W, solid payoff after all that build up. I expected to see some raiding scenes with Ivar before the big battle but instead we got a surprise jump cut straight to the face off. What a massive battle this was! I can't believe Hafdan stuck to his promise. He's become one of my new favorite characters (even though we've seen him do some heinous things.) Hafdan is full of surprising wisdom and I enjoy his one liners. Do you think Ivar should have taken the peace offer? This is a senseless civil war, they could instead be raiding together in new lands and Lagertha suggested. And (without spoilers) what do you think Lagertha will do with Bishop Haemond? Will he be forced to fight for the other other side now? I hope theres still 1 more solid battle left in this season. I'm also predicting a time jump soon, maybe right before 5b starts.

Watching him grow to be one of my favorite characters throughout the season was fantastic. I do agree with your point about the war being senseless. I had some thoughts on how the season could have been different but you haven't finished it yet so I can't discuss them right now. Can't wait till you're all caught up so I can tell you some of the ideas.
