It's easy to understand Charlie's decision at the end of this ep but hilarious to watch Nikki's frustration toward it... Do you think that if they let Ethan live that he would have really given them information? Surely Ethan wouldn't have been nearly as skilled as Ben Linus when being interrogated by Sayid.

Definitely remember being frustrating with Charlie's actions at the time, but it's one of those things that make sense after you have time to process is and think about it logically. Ethan was way too OP and would have given them nothing and only been a ticking time bomb to have around in camp. Charlie acting like the overly protective mother made sense to his character and the specific flash back.
