I just thought it was silly. Also felt it didn't make sense that the bishop let the brothers live. It's not like the norsemen weren't already murdering everyone in sight. I think the first half of season 5 is overall a mess. I wish Floki's story ended when he left norway.

Hearts were stopped in the room when I first saw the IVAR THE BONELESS scene. Seems like the right half of the couch didn't get it or maybe I should say they didn't feel it bc my couch and walls in my house were shaken when Ivar was yelling lol

I don't think they were staying at Aethelwulf's camp overnight, they were just waiting there for an answer, also Heahmund didn't kill them to stir up anger within the enemy army, maybe hoping to make them reckless. Plus remember what happened the last timem the Saxons killed a Viking leader

IVAR THE BONELESS is a badass, love him so much especially in this scene & the christians were terrified of Ivar they didnt dare try and touch him.

I think you were putting too much of your modern thought processes to the situation when ivar was on the ground. He would have been heralded as almost a demon from his exploits, no one wanted to be the one to single themselves put and try do something.

Alex is a beast, just a normal, young, Danish boy turning into this monster, one of the most talked about villains, since season 5 aired. Marco and Margrethe are also Danish, btw. The Saxons didn't attack Ivar because to them he is litterally the Devil, they have for sure seen evil through the viking attacks before, but Ivar is something different. They all probably heard what he did to the priest (the melted cross) and think he is absolutely terrifying. When he got hit in the face, and fell off his wagon, it must have been an intense amount of pain, and the vikings, and especially Ivar was known to go into beserker mode where you kinda' feed off the pain. That was what he did, and it was awesome!! "DU KAN INTA DREPE MEJ!" And poor, stupid, kindhearted Ubbe :-( that was a crazy dangerous position to put himself and Hvitserk in. They could have been killed instantly..

My favorite part is Ivar covered in blood unprotected and screaming you cannot kill me , and the Saxon soldiers looking scared and confused . They've seen the Northmens savagery , but Ivars on a whole other level . Ivar has to be extra and he is beyond extra , he's terrifying.
