It may be due to the binge that we were so hard on Korra last week XD sorry ya'll! It was just disappointing to see her get bested but we understand why it happened the way it did. Bolin and Varick's adventure this episode was great as well! Shout out to Steve Blum (Spike/Amon) for returning to the series as a random rebel fighter. Just when Prince Wu was starting to 'woo' us looks like he will be out of the picture for some time.
Thanks so much for your support everybody! We're thinking of either starting Dragon Prince, or Voltron after this... Let us know your thoughts!

Also Jinora is very spiritual and was able to track down Kai and Korra so I feel any person who is in touch with their spiritual side is capable of it

2018-10-17 20:32:57 +0000 UTCOh I forgot I wanted to add something about Korra and Asami’s relationship, imo I think Korra being closer to her has more to do with Asami being a kinder/more sensitive person than Mako or Bolin than her being a girl. I definitely don’t share things with my female friends solely on account of us being female, it just depends on whose a better listener. Anyway their reunion, the train fight and Bolin’s fight were definitely the best aspects of this episode

2018-10-17 20:07:03 +0000 UTCI don't know if you guys have already binged the rest of the series and watched the final episode but this episode becomes a lot funnier and heartwarming in hindsight after you understand what the final scene of the finale means. Also, in case you haven't seen the next episode or aware about why, the next episode is a recap because in the middle of production of book 4, nickelodeon cut the show's budget and the creators needed to complete their order of 14 episodes, so they had a choice to either fire most of their crew or do a recap episode with mostly reused animation to save money

I loved how Korra and Asami were completely in sync with each other this episode as well while Mako was always a step behind. Also, poor Mako overall, especially with the amount of shit he has to deal with because of Wu. All hail Hydr-- I mean, the Great Uniter!! Nice om catching Asami's new glove! Fun fact: "Spike" (Steve Blum yay!!) and the waterbender that talked were the original designs for Mako and Korra, respectively. For "Spike", he was most likely the foundation for Wan's design as well since he does look like Wan.

2018-10-17 19:47:44 +0000 UTCGreat reaction guys! Also, personally I tried getting into Voltron and didn’t enjoy it, but it has a really passionate fan so maybe it gets better. I couldn’t get past the first few episodes so I can’t really say. Dragon Prince was easy to get through, only 9 episodes and easy to follow, but honestly the animation is extremely distracting and it also is very low stakes compared to ATLA and Korra, it comes off more as a straightforward children’s adventure story with one clear cut villain. Neither Mike or Bryan are involved in either show, it’s just a few writers from ATLA’s writing team. Dragon Prince has more ATLA-ish elements though, particularly in the family dynamics.

I think one of the things that makes this lose so hard and important is that because we have seen her get beaten down so much throughout the season we were waiting for that moment where finally she would get up and get some kinda win. It didn't happen then so obviously its frustrating. Also Bolin is the best.
