From bad to worse
Added 2022-12-02 00:32:34 +0000 UTCPlumbers came to our old home Monday to fix the pipes, for which they charged us more than $1,600. A faucet also needs replacement, so getting a new one was another $110. The work to fix the wall is going to be another $750. Today we found out there is no water anywhere in the home, probably because the main froze again. The worker left the panel covering it on the ground outside and the company is taking no responsibility. I also got another medical bill and it's looking like the electrical work we have to complete is too complex to take care of on our own. We still haven't even been able to do a dump run yet.
The closing date on our home keeps getting pushed back because of the issues that keep popping up and in the mean time we are paying for two residences. We wouldn't have moved in the first place if contractors had been willing to work for us before we talked to a realtor who knows them.
I want to thank you all for you support so far. It looks like I won't need support, but a miracle at this point. I'm going to link my >>GoFundMe<< again for those who want to chip in, since the original $2,000 turned out to be not nearly enough.
I am at my wits' end. I truly do not know what to do anymore. Commissions aren't going to put a dent into this, but I suppose I am open to suggestions. I only ask that you don't try to take advantage of me because I am in a desperate situation. After last time I opened commissions because I was financially in trouble this needs to be said.
