I’m thrilled to announce that the Beta code for the P1 Series AMS and non-AMS (combined) has been a success and is in its final phase of development. It will be moving into it's final home on the P1 SteinWipe Listing meaning the X1 SteinWipe and Filament Change wiping is officially in development! Many of you have been asking for this, and I’m excited to expand the SteinWipe system to the Bambu Lab X1C and expand the features 🎉

What’s Included Right Now?
STL files for the wiper mount, so you can get started with the hardware setup while I finalize the G-code (same file as the P1).
Updates will roll out to the listing as development progresses. You’ll always be notified when new files or features are added and you can also see the last update stamp on the top of the listing.
What’s Next?
The finalized X1-specific G-code is in progress and will include all the customizable SteinSwitch features you love.

2025-01-06 19:52:44 +0000 UTCThere will likely be a community Beta out before I receive my X1C for final say on the code as I still dont even have a ship date. They say expected inventory on their site is mid Feb. Ill do my best with the code in the meantime based on your feedback and videos. Again, final tweaks and official release will only happen after I had a change to put some miles on it myself.

If you test it on your X1C just do it with caution because its not including any of the lidar features yet. But do let me know how it goes, thanks :)

I have a pretty good handle on things, I need to see the machine in action performing all the elements as a whole and put it through extreme trials for myself before listing any code. I write code for very expensive Hass machines and others at work, so I know my way around but I will reach out should I have any trouble! well, there is one thing, if you know of a way to write a condition that checks the status of the filament runout switch, that would be great!

I cant wait to try it out.. although i might not because i already bought the p1 steinwipe and i have already edited the code for it to work with AMS and x1c with all the lidar features. if you want i could help you with some of the code, it had some really confusing and hidden pieces just to enable things and make things work at the right speed. I believe it would speed up the process and we could both learn something.

The only things on the listing right now is what you already have access to - the wiper model in the P1 listing. I left the listing turned off to patrons until the files are added; for the moment, this gives some the option if they would like to further contribute to the cost of the X1 machine I ordered to test this project. So not to worry, you dont have to pay twice and you're not missing out on anything!

What were waiting on now is for the machine to arrive from Bambu so I can polish the code and integrate the X1's additional features like the lidar.

Im aiming to release the final version of the start code today or tomorrow and it will include one new SteinSwitch feature; the feature is just to further refine the startup taking advantage of the wiper pad. I cant thank you enough for the support :)

2025-01-05 20:15:39 +0000 UTCI don't even have my X1C yet (ordered) but I bought the listing anyways because you honestly have saved so much aggravation in my process it's the least I can do! The wiper is great but the G code is something else! it almost makes the wiper not even necessary because your machine code is so much more efficient. I can't wait till you develop G code for material changes and see what you do there. Keep up the good work you hit this project out of the park!
