I received a visa to Japan)
And I have been here for almost a week. Due to the long flight and the difficult getting used to another time zone, I am only now coming to my senses to share my thoughts and emotions with you.
I was in Tokyo once in the spring of 2019 for the cherry blossoms. And it was the most unforgettable trip in my life, considering that before that I had only been abroad three times and in Europe three times (Berlin, Warsaw, Copenhagen). Of course, my idea of โโJapan as a futuristic country of the future was debunked - cars did not fly here, skyscrapers did not have strange shapes, robots did not walk around the city ... but the feeling of the development of this country was present in small details. Even then, I noticed their deep respect for each other, for work, for nature and history, but because of the cherry blossoms, I couldn't concentrate on the people and their culture.
This time I am here in autumn. I no longer expect to see the city of the future here.) I am more calm and reserved. I haven't seen the red Japanese maples yet, but while I'm in the city, I have time to fully immerse myself in the Japanese, their culture and cuisine. I ddnt understood a lot but I can only say one thing - I am very impressed by their love for work - they are not interested in money so much as in providing quality service and hearing pleasant reviews. If this is the owner of the restaurant, then this is the cook and the restaurant is quite small, and despite the success and great demand of his cuisine, he does not think about expansion at all, he has the goal of achieving the perfection of his dishes and only that. By the way, right now I'm starting to understand the movie "Perfect Days" more... I watched it in the cinema six months ago - and I kind of liked it, but at the same time I didn't understand it. With this visit, I am beginning to feel more and more what the director of this movie wanted to say. I advise you to watch)
I'll be here for most of November - so I'll try to share my thoughts throughout the trip. If you have some advices about Tokyo or Japan in general - you are welcome)
