Upcoming term

I seem to be at a pretty critical point in life and I think it would be right to share how it might affect my art with you.

I have applied for a long-term position at the university where I intern. Normally we use summer break to prepare our lessons for the next term, so I had hoped to know whether I got the position or not before that, to prepare either the lessons for my internship or the lessons for the long-term position. However, for whatever reason, that has been delayed until after summer break or even later, no one knows.

So how does this affect my art? If I do get that long-term position, next term will require a lot of hard work of sacrifices, since I will have to teach without having had time to prepare my lessons, but after that, I will have financial security and a stable job, which will allow me to safely invest time into personal projects and money into better supplies, without needing to slave over commissions anymore.

However, if I don't get that position, it'll be one last term of interning and then, if all goes as planned, I'll go 100% freelance. I have saved enough to survive until I'm stable and I'll invest all my effort into bigger art projects that you guys can support and enjoy - art, animations, videogames, plushes, 3D figures, maybe even cooking lessons or robotics projects.

Both options have pros and cons, and at this point it's all completely out of my control. We can only wait and see what happens. And whatever happens, it'll be for the best.

I've been practicing that a lot lately. It's healthier.
