Recent chats between myself and Re-Phage have led to us (mostly her) fleshing out some of the backstory to the Cydonian-Etonan war that fills much of the timeline of the Your Warmth cinematic universe, and one of the b-plot characters from the start of the war is one Adea Winterbourne, an ex-Cydonian paladin that left her home during it's "hey maybe non-magical people are subhuman" phase and went along with the spurned older brother king, a legendary paladin, and most importantly, her superior officer/crush Tabhartas Brannon on their exile/rebellion. While Etona later on will have a...monstrous history, at the time Adea felt it horribly immoral to treat the non-magical the way they were being treated, despite being magical herself, and was only maybe sorta also influenced by Tab being involved.
Shit gets really, really, really complicated from there, but she does marry the guy in the end and has a bajillion kids for both heir and "oh god we need population quick" purposes. Which falls right into my hands!
Also also I've been playing her as an alt in FF14 so she's also a Warrior of Light now, which also works with the pun.
