JJK and Demon Slayer are very fun to watch (most of the time), and it's easy to see why they're loved, but the writing leaves a lot to be desired. Demon Slayer's author should be eternally grateful to Ufotable for elevating her work to the extent that they did. JJK's author on the other hand, is obvously capable of writing, but just doesn't seem to enjoy it lol. He introduces very interesting concepts and then refuses to delve into them. He creates characters just to kill them off. And he loves Sukuna too much haha. Idk too much about One Piece, but multiple very discerning and highly critical people I know, have told me Oda's writing is quite good.

2024-11-29 18:58:52 +0000 UTCHard question. Death note is only half amazing, the other half is ass. So I guess it isn't overrated if you are thinking the first half but it is if you think of it as whole. (Most people think on it fondly as the first half) I think my choice is One Piece. I think most people that love that show either 1. Started watch it when they were kids. Or 2. Are actually thinking of the manga. The show itself is slow and Luffy's motivations are a mystery for 400+ episodes so it's hard to feel connected to him. I honestly don't get the One Piece hype, but I get that I'm alone in that.
