Jyu Jyu sold out show, me almost going to jail, seiko oomori madness, and more

Yeah, today was ridiculous. Super highs, super lows, almost went to jail because I was 2 seconds away from laying a mother fuxxxer out, and then Seiko Oomori seemingly lost her mind and got caught doing so (well, to be fair, she lost her mind a long time ago... she acted like she always acted, only this time it was recorded). I also discuss the Covid pandemic a little bit, and overall my feelings about reacting to situations emotionally and then recalling the best lesson I ever learned in life, which I share with all of you on this long ass podcast. Enjoy... this one is super angry, but full of life wisdom too lol. Or yeah... something like that.

I guess the yelling could be considered part of the creative process , to a point. But, it’s a fine line between that, and abuse. If it helps the group to achieve a sought after goal, so be it if it works. But, if it’s done because someone is unstable or gets off on it, that’s a big problem.

It really depends on the group... some groups this is like a weekly occurrence. Other groups, it's super rare I think. In my experience, I've seen it all, from idols yelling at producers at the top of their lungs to producers yelling at idols and in one instance, I know of... an idol producer doing something that definitely wasn't right to the idol over a dispute they had. And so on... but this is all like stuff nobody wants to ever put out there or have people hear, so... it probably does happen more than we think. But then again, maybe not? It's really hard to tell!

I wonder how many of these instances are documented even in other groups and never see the light of day? It just seems so rare that this one made it out.

That is indeed the question... what IS the goal here? What is Seiko chan trying to do? What is the other girl trying to do? It's really something that begs the question, I think. And it's an important question to ask.

Thank you Derek for your insight into this! Someday, you may get to write that tell all. But, hopefully this idol gig lasts for a good long while! Also, I hate to hear unhappy idols. It’s unbelievable that an unstable person is allowed to start a group, and then do crazy shit to other members. What is the goal here?

well, what exactly happened is the issue... did the girl intentionally post about enjoying people's comments about her, right after Seiko chan told her not to do it? And if she intentionally did it, is Seiko chan allowed to be human and freak out and go crazy on her, due to her being mentally unstable (which is a well documented fact about her)? What exactly did she do to the girl at the end? It sounds like it got physical, but did it? I mean.. .what exactly happened? That's what I'm saying... cancel culture is so vicious these days and the minute something like this happens, people are super quick to assume they know everything that happened in this situation and then make a judgement that is probably more far off the truth than it's right. Also... the girl has been documented as being mentally unstable as well... could this be a sneaky ploy to do something negative towards Seiko chan? How was she able to record so clearly this situation... and did it result in her getting Seiko chan to release that MV today to illustrate and highlight her in it? I mean... you might think that's far-fetched, but I would say spend some time working with menhera idols and yeah... it's not far-fetched at all. I know girls in this business who are SUPER sneaky and do things like this... honestly... if I ever quit this business and write a tell all, the things I could write about, the REAL truth behind a lot of what goes on in the idol world, would BLOW people's minds. I'm not defending Seiko chan, by the way. Not by a longshot, but I am defending the chance to listen to everything and fully understand the facts and hear what happened before jumping to a conclusion that isn't fully based on everything that happened. That's all I'm saying... And again... Seiko chan is a documented nutjob... why are people expecting her to act any differently than crazy in ANY situation? That's the part that gets me... the idol world allows this crazy lady to start an idol group and then, if that wasn't bad enough, fill it with almost equally crazy girls... I got news for you... this is probably not even the WORST of it lol. But I don't condone violence or abuse of anybody, especially idols. I would never even dream of yelling or hitting Kosame or Miho... it is not something that would make me feel like a human being if I did that kind of thing.... I would feel lower than a microbe. But people who have mental disorders... well... they are broken mentally... we can't expect them to act like they are not broken mentally. And this is the kind of thing that happens in this type of situation with mentally broken people. And sadly, Japan is rather FULL of mentally broken people.

Right, context. What led up to this? I don’t understand Japanese, so it’s impossible for me to know what’s going on really. You like to think this stuff is not happening, but, here it is.

I agree... but it's like... normal Seiko business as usual... at least that is how she was back in her artist days. I am not a fan of ZOC really, though I do like Seiko chan a lot. But I'm trying to look at this all from a logical standpoint, divorced from an emotional reaction that a lot of people are having to the situation. In Japan, nothing is ever as it seems, so that is why I want to look at this situation with a huge analytical magnifying glass, and not with a broken heart for the girl in the audio clip. Regardless, I feel for her, but I am wondering what the whole story is. I guess that's the only thing I want to consider in this situation... what actually went down, and are we taking into account the Japanese business culture which is vastly different from Western culture, etc.? And so on. It can be a tough situation to really see clearly, if you take into account all of these things, I think.

I don’t follow ZOC too closely, but, wow. Major insanity.

I am trying to divorce myself from the emotional aspect of it and look at it from a rational and logical viewpoint, but yeah, it all still leads me back to thinking that Seiko chan should not have done what she did (to put it mildly). From a logical standpoint though, she did exactly as she's been doing for years, only this time, she got caught doing it. I mean, I don't know why we all expect somebody who has documented, major mental health issues to act like a rational, calm human being over something that she perceived to be a slight against her. Does that make sense? If she acted completely rational and normal, now THAT would have been a surprise and a shock lol. I mean... this is looking at it while taking all things in account based on what I know of Seiko chan from listening to her artist music in the past. I could be totally wrong though. I am curious about what really happened though and so on, though it does seem pretty clear to us all, but.... there's a lot to take in with this situation. And of course, we have to look at ALL of this through the lens of Japanese culture.... this lens is often a distorted one for Westerners to look through, as I find out every single day with everything that happens to me here lol.

This Seiko Oomori mess is horrifying.
