gamedev thoughts
Added 2024-10-26 04:10:31 +0000 UTCsomething i kinda worried about with Aster's Lament over time is that it would be end up being too safe and sanded down to really get my original emotions across, but I still want to make that game as it is in my head. So to remedy this conflict I'm just gonna make a tiny prologue game to brush up on my skills that's much more in line with my original concept, which spawned from a much sadder time in my life. If I do go through with making that short game it will likely be like less than 30 minutes short and also probably be an 18+ only type of thing. Will not be required to enjoy the main game whenever I get around to making that again.

i agree with Omelette on this, just make it how it should be. no need to make something that goes against the intended meaning for the sake of being better understood by others. emotions are hella complex, and thats just fine sometimes

Nobody should tone down their representation of their mental state in art. Besides, art is all about expressing oneself. (Btw i'm looking forward to your prologue! i'm sure it will turn out great!)
