Each month we want to show our appreciation to our continued supporters - so if you renew your subscription or have already subscribed for a year in advance, you will get one additional token each month!

Because they're on a monthly schedule, they don't compete with the weekly slot. This means that these Loyalty Tokens will always be big releases with loads of animations and multipage PDFs filled with lair actions, encounter mechanics, customization tables, lore, magic items, subclasses, backgrounds or spells.

The Loyalty Token for May will hit this Patreon next week and it is mad, because we've disturbed its slumber.

Seen here flapping around in the Molten Court is the mighty Magma Wyrm.

Even though it is apparently able to fly, it much prefers to burrow through the ground, trading part of a regular dragon's insane flying speed for a burrowing speed and this ability:

Instead of a graceful aerial battle, fighting the Wyrm might turn into a harrowing tunnel war.

The Magma Wyrm carries its name not only because it loves to swim a few laps in molten rock each morning, but because hot magma literally courses through its Volcanic Veins:

As more and more of the Wyrm's obsidian scales are blasted off its body, more of its inner core is laid bare, causing those who stand near it to endure terrible heat.

This is just one layer of the Wyrm's defenses, as the aforementioned Obsidian Scales play a role on their own, with an intricate system of synergyzing abilities to let the Magma Wyrm adapt to any situation. How this exactly works, you'll have to see for yourself once the Wyrm finally emerges from its tunnel, but before getting to the hoard (hehe) of content provided by this release, lets take a final look at the Wyrm's breath weapon!

The Wyrm's Magma Breath has two profiles, each suited to different combat scenarios. While the Magmatic Torrent is more difficult to aim, it provides high damage against fewer targets and leaves the battlefield covered in molten rock, hindering its enemies' mobility!

The Molten Rock Surge deals less damage overall, but will probably affect more targets and can stop a party dead in its tracks!

This is just a glimpse at the Magma Wyrm's abilities, there are still Bonus Actions, Actions, Legendary Actions and Lair Actions to discover once you get your hand on the PDF!

Speaking of the PDF - same as the Bone Hag, the Magma Wyrm's release also includes magic items inspired by the creature, either to craft from harvested remains of the monster or to be found within its pile of treasure.
Fun fact: Magma Wyrm's don't hoard their treasure in a conventional way.

One can already imagine a pissed off dragon emerging from its cozy pool of liquid gold, unleashing a torrent of lava against intruders.

Once these intruders have braved the Wyrm, they can be rewarded with the aforementioned magic items, like this one:

This is just one of several magic items included, this one enabling you to turn the Magma Wyrm's wrath against the whole world, after you had to endure it privately.

This is all we can show you by now, the rest of the lair is still being unearthed by our dwarven prospectors. We're looking forward to unleash this CR 19 obsidian nightmare upon you and your players - see you next week!
