Color Schemes - EXERCISE - CWSA Patreon

Dear Craftworldians,

Welcome to a New Video Tutorial,

This time featuring NEW EXERCISE & LESSON ABOUT COLOR SCHEMES. :)

We think this will be a good way for all of you to experiment more with COLOR USE & COLOR MIXES. And a fun way to approach to your future painting projects.

If you like this exercise, we will keep it as a series and make more examples and lessons featuring other color schemes but also more lessons about COLORS. :)

In this lesson I will work on example of painting using Darker & Lighter Values of Analogous Colors on example one. While for second example I will work with Tonal Variations of Split-Complementary Colors.

Hope you will enjoy this tutorial. Try out this exercise and share your results with us on our Discord Channel. Im #exercises section. And on Social Medias, using:

- #craftworldians

- #craftworldpatreons

- #underpaintingminis

- #overlappinglayers

Thank you, Cheers.

Thanks so much. I will be doing this as soon as my paints arrive.

Shann

I painted this one on the paper for the exercise. You can use the comercial ones or you can paint it yourself (it is a good practise as you can see how your paint reacts in mixing) :)

Craftworld Studio

Thank you. I was also interested in how you did the color wheel.

Shann

Hello, I apologies if I didn't understood the question. If you are asking about the schemes, you can choose them without a template (just following a "rule" of a template) or you can make your own on some transparent background. You can try this exercise on any mini/shield/token since the main practice is color combination and use :)

Is here a pdf for this information? I's like to print it out to refer back to it. Thanks

Shann

I am really excited to do this class. Something I’ve wanted to learn for years.

Shann

This is really cool! I was wondering how to pick and use colors to get the vibrant ambience I saw on many of your minis. This is exactly the video I needed.

Thank you, we are glad hearing that. Unfortunately no, these ones are tokens from BloodBowl by GW. But you can use any of the mini bits or printable tokens you feel like painting, to try it out :)

Craftworld Studio

Very cool exercise and I can’t wait to try it! Are those tokens available as an STL?
