Welcome to our new tutorial. Today we would like you to try Aquarelle Style of Underpainting. Creating the volume by making layers overlap in underpainting stage, and using overlapping layers to blend all of the tonal variations together. Play with tonal volumes by learning how to connect lighter and darker version of the same color or tone.
Miniature I painted in this lesson is Aidreth Treeborn by Artisan Guild.

I painted the 32mm version.
Use this tutorial to practice techniques but also to exercise light placement, color interactions, brushstrokes, blending, building volumes with tones (tonal values), building more tones trough paint mixes (tonal variations). And enjoy your painting session and this video.
