Generally speaking, it's fruits are so awful, its inedible even to animals. However, there's like 0.001% chance that an offspring will produce fruits of proper quality like we get in stores. Then cultivators use rootstock to propagate the same strand of Avocado. I am sure one can make quite a few fun stories based on it.
