Chapter 150.5: Lovespot Tormenter Chat Group

So this is first among the many sidestories I'm going to post. I don't know how frequent they will be posted though.

Ru Ye fiddled with the Xiyi Talisman prototype in his hand. Although his name sounded very feminine, he was a hundred percent male. Due to his name, he had been bullied by his father's main branch children because of his name, and he was a concubine born.

But he was talented and gradually stood out and left his half-brothers in the dust, eventually surpassing his father and catching the attention of the Ru Clan's ancestor, a true immortal. However, even if he caught the eye of his true immortal ancestor, Ru Ye learned that there was always a heaven beyond the heavens.

Even if he was like a celestial to his weak half-brothers, there were people akin to celestials to him, like Lovespot. He had finally walked out of the shadow of his family and even met a girl he would share life and wealth with. Yet, that was all ruined by that bastard Lovespot! 

Before the first scar could heal, another wound was dealt to his heart, causing his cultivation to stagnate at the Core Formation Realm. This caused Ru Ye to hate Lovespot to the core, but what could he do? His ancestor-cum-master wasn't willing to offend a head elder for him, much less an outsider who wasn't part of the Ru Clan.

Thankfully, Lovespot kicked a board made of divine steel and had spikes on it. Not only did he get his feet wounded, but he got his grandfather wounded too. That steel board was naturally Xi Tianyi!

Thinking about it, it was quite strange for Lovespot to only meet Tianyi then. Lovespot loved to challenge the other scions of elders to prove his superiority, so it was abnormal for Tianyi and Lovespot to only meet when Tianyi was over twenty.

Ru Ye shook his head and explore the question any further. What's important is that Lovespot's greatest and only backer is now imprisoned for the next thousand years. When Xi Tianyi had contacted him and asked him to collect dirt on Head Elder Redseal and Lovespot, Ru Ye only thought it would be some punishment for Lovespot at best, but nothing fatal. Who knew that Tianyi and Grand Elder Xi would directly strip away Head Elder Redseal's position?

He was clear that although Grand Elder Xi had a glorious title, it was an empty position with no real authority outside of crises such as war with another sect. He was very clear on the reality that Grand Elder Xi held no position of power, and even if she wanted to punish Immortal Redseal, she couldn't deal a fatal blow and kill him. She was still a member of the Buzhou Immortal Sect and sect members killing each other was a forbidden crime. The other two Grand Elders would step in and deal with Grand Elder Xi if she really took such an action.

Ru Ye felt he had to change his worldview after that incident, though. Why did he believe blindly believe his master and think that Grand Elder Xi only had an empty position? Her authority was much greater than the immortal elders thought it was. Although the specifics of the incident had been sealed, the result of Head Elder Redseal losing his position sent resounding waves throughout the sect.

Ru Ye was still a newly ascended nascent soul grandmaster, so he didn't have to worry too much about the factional conflict within the Buzhou Immortal Sect. All he knew that Jade Peak wasn't a place he could offend. But back to the main point. 

Lovespot had finally exited out of Redseal's estate, and he managed to participate in Lovespot's humiliation! Ru Ye's eyes flashed with a sinister light as he rubbed his spatial pouch. He had prepared a special medicine for Lovespot. 

Didn't Lovespot consider himself a romanticist with thousands of conquests? Hehe, the medicine Ru Ye prepared was a unique poison that would cause pain to a man's member whenever it got... "excited." He wanted to see how Lovespot will jump around once he discovered that he became a eunuch in all but name.

Ru Ye blinked when he heard the Xiyi Talisman on his waist ring with a tune. The Xiyi Talisman in his hand was the old prototype that Tianyi had given him and numerous other people who were in on the scheme and aided Tianyi in gathering information.

The Xiyi Talisman prototype didn't use spiritual sense like a messenger talisman to send a message. According to his master, it used the Dao of Space. His master had even sighed at wasteful Tianyi was, designing such a talisman. 

But Ru Ye felt differently. Not only was it near-instantaneous, but he could also message several people at once. It was very convenient, especially since he could just leave the message there and read it later. With time, the message conveyed using spiritual sense would dilute and disappear. 

If there were just one problem, it would be the energy consumption was too high. Ru Ye had to constantly use his true qi to power it or use a high-tier spirit stone to fuel it. But the new one didn't have such a problem. According to the maker, it seemed that the information network was situated at Jade Peak, and so, the Xiyi Talisman didn't have to use its own power to send a message using the Dao of Space.

Ru Ye looked at the sleek new design of the official Xiyi Talisman. It was rectangular in shape and gleamed with a metallic light. On the back, there was a design of a large circle with eight concentric rings around it, with a sphere on each ring with two in each of the four directions. This was Xiyi Talisman's emblem or brand, as he heard. Any items with this emblem were of the Xiyi product line, such as the formation cards.

He rather liked the design. When not in use and on his waist, the Xiyi Talisman just seemed like a jade pendant due to its shell being made of jade. 

[Jadewill: What's wrong, did Lovespot come out again?]

Ru Ye sent the message using his spiritual sense. The Xiyi Talisman had a function to use the hands to write the message or numbers, but Ru Ye didn't like it as using spiritual sense was much faster. But he understood it was for people who had yet to obtain their spiritual sense like foundation establishment disciples. 

Also, it allowed him to choose their name as it would appear to others. He chose the name Jadewill, which essentially his name. But other people chose different names to hide their identity. 

[Frostrobe: Hmpf, that Lovespot did leave the Redseal estate. I don't know what dog-shit luck he has, but he somehow managed to rope in some new and talented inner disciples. They believe that Lovespot's previous reputation was due to a misunderstand and feel that we are unreasonable. Hmpf! I underestimated that Lovespot, who knew he had such means.]

[Xiyi Talisman User 007: Those stupid inner disciples are following Lovespot like a dog, not letting us have a chance to act on Lovespot.]

Ru Ye clenched his hands as his eyes hardened.

[Jadewill: Why don't we knock them unconscious? If they still don't learn their lesson, then we'll teach them a lesson.]

[Frostrobe: We can't. The sect turns a blind eye to our activities due to our enmity with Lovespot. As long as no permanent damage is dealt to Lovespot, we won't receive any punishments. But if we bring in other disciples, especially taking action upon, then we'll receive punishment.]

[Jadewill: Then we just need to use methods that can't be traced back to us.]

[Xiyi Talisman User 007: Oh, what methods?]

[Future Immortal Lord Southfist: You can't whet our appetite and leave us hanging. If you don't explain, you aren't a good brother!]

[Fairy Firefly: Not all of us here are hairy men. But I agree with Southfist, hurry and tell us!]

[Jadewill: Have you heard of the formation cards sold by Jade Peak?]

[Frostrobe: I heard of them. I only knew of them recently with the new version of the Xiyi Talisman.]

[Fairy Firefly: I even bought a few to try. I have to say, and they are really useful. I always don't dare to use the talismans I have because I'm afraid of wasting them. But using the Xiyi formation cards alleviates that issue. I can use them as much as I want without worry.]

[Future Immortal Lord Southfist: I believe the technical term is installed. Are you really a Xiyi Talisman user like me? Why do I feel that you can't use it as well as I do?]

[Fairy Firefly: Smelly Southfist! You are just asking for a beating. You looking for a fight, I'll come over and find you right now!]

[Future Immortal Lord Southfist: It was just a remark, you don't have to be so riled up. But speaking of the formation cards, I tried a few. I even compared it with other people. There is practically no difference between each use and each user. I tested it with other people who have a Xiyi Talisman. For example, the Mountain Punch formation card always exhibits the same power and doesn't contain any personal will of the user at all.]

[Frostrobe: I heard this is something Senior Brother Xi personally designed each formation card. I really respect Senior Brother Xi's genius. How is he able to make each formation card exactly the same?]

[Xiyi Talisman User 007: Isn't it that Xi Ri's ability? I heard that he managed to set up some building where he hired some wastes to build the formation cards. I really don't get how he is able to keep the method a secret without others finding out.]

[Fairy Firefly: Hmpf, without Senior Brother Xi, can that Xi Ri even set up shop at the foot of Jade Peak. The way I see it, the people are afraid of offending Senior Brother Xi, so that's why they don't dare to leak the secret.]

[Future Immortal Lord Southfist: Oy, when did you become Senior Brother Xi's admirer? Didn't you swear that all men aren't good things after interacting with Lovespot?]

[Fairy Firefly: I respect him! Why can't I respect the person who made Lovespot and Immortal Redseal lose his position?]

[Future Immortal Lord Southfist: The way I see it, it's Grand Elder Xi who took action. Senior Brother Xi is powerful, but how can he bring down a Head Elder? If you like Senior Brother Xi, just say it.]

[Fairy Firefly: Hehe, I'll see you soon.]

[Future Immortal Lord Southfist: Hey! I was just saying! You aren't really going to beat me up, are you!?]

[Future Immortal Lord Southfist: Hey! Answer me! I know you carry the Xiyi Talisman everywhere, so stop pretending you can't see my words!]

Ru Ye rubbed his head. He wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. These people were highly respected geniuses among inner disciples, always having a dignified bearing. But how did these people become like this?

[Jadewill: Stop joking around, we still have to deal with Lovespot.]

[Frostrobe: Right, we got off track. Maybe we should just kick Southfist and Firefly off. They always divert the main topic.]

[Future Immortal Lord Southfist: Hey!]

[Fairy Firefly: Don't forget, it was you who did such a thing last time. You should be the first one kicked if anything!]

[Xiyi Talisman User 007: I just visited the Xiyi Talisman shop at Jade Peak and installed a few formation cards and tried them. I don't mind using these as a method to attack, but all of them are powerful battle methods. We want to torment Lovespot. Mere injuries aren't worth anything.]

[Grandmaster Shadowbark: I agree. Right now, only a few hundred people have Xiyi Talisman or formation cards. If we do use them, then the chances of our action being discovered are high. Besides, if we dragged Senior Brother Xi down and cause his Xiyi Talisman to be affected, do you think he won't take revenge on us?]

[Fairy Firefly: Oh, a rare event! Shadowbark, you finally appeared.]

[Frostrobe: You should speak up more, I almost forgot you were part of the group.]

[Grandmaster Shadowbark: This is the reason I don't appear up more often! Because of people like you! Focus on the main point!]

[Jadewill: You're right. I didn't consider it at all. If we really offend Senior Brother Xi, Grand Elder Xi may take action as well, unlikely as that is. If she really took action, then my master will definitely skin me alive.]
