Hello, everyone! I hope you guys are doing fine! Crazy times….Hopefully I am able to cheer up your mood a bit with this update:)
For BETA-Users: There were no changes compared to the BETA (Only re-naming of the files for public release)
Financial balancing
The focus this month was primarily on updating the economic situation for the 22/23 season of all nations and improving the long-term financial behavior in some nations.
Financial balancing mainly affects Spain, England, Italy and France. A concrete example is the financial development of clubs in Spain after 20+ years. This is a disaster due to financial rules in the league. Some of the clubs become extremely rich, but cannot spend the money because they are limited by the salary cap. This weakens the strength of the Spanish league as it cannot compete with England/Italy/Germany in the transfer market.
I have now tried to erase this problem. You can't solve it 100%, but it is now almost invisible. Now the finances of clubs still make sense after 50+ years.
Market values & salaries
The market values were adjusted aswell as salary demands. This should result in the transfer market being more realistically adapted to the current situation. In addition, the market values, which rank right below the world's best players, have been toned down.
Other changes:
In addition to these changes, I mainly looked for small errors in the database and improved them.
This includes:
- Ticket-price adjustments
- Salaries, market values & sponsors
- Club finances fix
- Natural fitness adjustments
- Current currency exchange values
- Youth & Training facilities
- Alternative youth ratings
- Club data fixes
- Worldwide award fixes
- player salaries adjustments
The changes may not sound very big, but don't underestimate them ;) Sometimes its difficult to advertise the changes with a high level of enthusiasm, even if they are quite spectacular xD
Mission failed (so far)
I have also invested a lot of time in the last 4 weeks in further optimizing league files (especially those from DaveTheEditor). To my great disappointment, the success rate so far has been very low or non-existent. That would actually have been planned for this update as well. If I still find solutions, it will be added for the upcoming months.
Test Save Game in 2040: 1. A big BETA-test is currently running. Right now it's in 2035. As soon as it's reaches 2040 this will be uploaded at Level 2. I can already say that it looks really really good ;)
Other news:
I will work more closely with NorsemanLP. (https://twitter.com/NorsemanLP) He helps me especially with the visual presentation of my work in all the forums, Youtube and also on Patreon. This is still a major stress factor for me. I need like 15 hours a month for this part which he might only need 2. The more I can delegate in this area, the more I can concentrate on my strengths - editing and all the research! This should be beneficial for you guys too:)
Personal:
In summary I am very satisfied. It's another step towards to create the best Football Manager game ever (Personal opinion ;) )
This project means so much to me and I am incredibly grateful to you all! I am aware that this is anything but self-evident these days!
If the overall support remains stable over the next few months and should continue to increase for FM23, I plan to invest in a (further) high-end PC.
This would further improve my testing capabilities as well as evaluation speed and through that, more quality updates.
Plans for next week:
The next week I'll work mainly on preparing the public release, which means doing youtube again. I hope all of you have already subbed my channel ;) (https://www.youtube.com/c/FMDaveincid?sub_confirmation=1)
Beside that, I hope to be able to update my "List of files I recommend", but I can't make any promises that it will be next week.
That's all I think for now:)
As always, all files are included in this update. Remove all older files before installing this new update.
Cheers
