I was originally going to leave a long winded rant about how wanting SJW to be humbled, was an opinion / wish I just couldn’t get behind, due to over 2 decades of watching anime; tropes of either the severely underpowered underdog coming back, or the strong, elite fighter, not being so strong and elite. Rarely have we gotten Anime where the MC becomes so grossly overpowered they blitz through everything, [and as they should] without taking L’s that they obviously shouldn’t be taking, for the sake of ‘plot’ ‘character development’ or ‘humbling experiences.’ Have we forgotten S1? When he was nicknamed, ‘The Weakest Hunter In The World’; constantly berated, mocked, and ridiculed, with far too many encounters with Deaths Door and severe injuries. In my opinion, he’s already been humbled. So for once, I’m glad to have an overpowered MC; who can walk the talk, talk the talk, but isn’t an overall cocky douche. Jin Woo is confident; not an arrogant prick who thinks his power makes him better than everyone else. [And it does; as he’s the only one capable of soloing a dungeon, as told by the story thus] As someone else said, it speaks to the quality and ability of the story teller, to make an over powered characters’ battles / encounters, not be predictable and boring. And as someone who has finished the Story and Side Story, I can say I was still left wanting. This still ended up being a rant, so I apologize for that. But I decided to be petty I guess, when I thought back on this comment; I couldn’t let it go lol
