I was so hesitant to post this reaction because of how lost I felt during explanations in this episode π ..but I'm going to face the music & just post it. Go easy on me, I watched the episode 4 times now and I'm finally ready for the finale!!!!!!

It also felt to me this was a builder for the final ep... which sucks bc it also feels like they chopped out a bunch of stuff and the whole season could have been 2 more episodes to explain more/give more backstory. Even finale is rushed but still hits the beats at least... still they had a big budget so it shouldn't feel short changed in Act 3. Adored the jinx/ekko episode but everything here was either not enough explanation or a lot of assumptions we would know backstory which ruins good storytelling. Beautiful ending coming up though. And PLEASE don't feel ashamed for not "getting it" ... we all sat there after this going wtf was any of that episode... either give us MORE so we understand the significance or leave it out and don't confuse storyline by hinting at things enough to make us wanna half guess but not ever get it confirmed so what's the point lol. Sorry, zero sleep and this one frustrated me too. I hate what feel like wasted episodes when you hear there's whole chunks of scenes on the cutting room floor re jinx/ekko we'll never see. Its a disservice to the characters and the animators wwho killed it snd grew thia huge non player fanbase for the art, the music and their version of the chacharacters. It just needed an executive decision to allow them 2 more episodes (or hell give them 3 so its a full "act") and they can properly tell these stories we waited so long for so we don't have to guess an entire half an episode and then feel like we have to jump into the final ep for answers. The finale should be icing on a well oiled machine of a cake.... and not answering shit from the episode before. Okay going to the finaleeee

2024-12-02 22:50:46 +0000 UTCI only understand the mages intentions bc of one of the netflix "afterglow" shows... ththe said briefly that the Mages want to stop Ambessa bc hextech/arcane is the equal of Mage powers BUT worse bc you don't have to be a Mage to wield it, and it can be put into weapons and given to any mindless goon essentially. It devalues the power mages have, but it's also a threat to it and wiping them out. They didn't really say anything about the son and that whole storyline... but I think it just represents Ambessa going too far to see if her son had any powers and when she realised he didn't he was useless to her? It could have been she gave him over to the black rose to test like they did Mel and he wasn't a Mage so the tests killed him. (Guesses there)

You reminded me that I also donβt really understand what happened with Ambessaβs son, so I have no idea how to feel about it. Iβm pretty sure Jinx wasnβt in the cell that long. Probably a couple of weeks. Weβre just seeing it out of the braids for the first time (the tips normally just brush the ground I believe). Figuring Vi healing for a bit considering they needed 3 doc to fix her up and the black dye is almost all gone. Mel having a power was surprisingly not a surprise to me. Idk if I saw it the 1st watch, but when I rewatched before starting S2, I noticed when Jinxβs bomb hits the glass, Mel turns a bit and the gold paint, thin plates, whatever it is, glowed. So I wondered if it was something that would save her, and then seeing her fine in ep. 1 I knew it had to be something, just didnβt know what until now. Seeing Silco always kinda feels like a tease, but Iβm also always happy to see my guy, even in these brief moments of hallucinations and flash backs. Thanks for another lovely reaction, Iβm excited for the last one!
