So Yuta is after Yuji cuz he supposedly cut off Inumaki’s (rice ball ingredients guy) arms, who is a good friend of Yuta’s, so he’s ordered to kill Yuji. However that probably happened when Sukuna was in control and Inumaki got caught in Sukuna’s domain expansion since he was dealing with the crowd of curses and humans.

Yaga was deemed the mastermind because he had implied it was okay to fight the higher ups and tengen if Riko decided not to merge
